I held off streaming this because I didn't want to be disappointed.

Good choice.

It seems crazy to think that England were legitimately the best side in test cricket 10-12 years ago and now they are legitimately one of the worst.

This passage of play has big 'soft dismissal followed by lower-order collapse' written all over it.

My reverse mockers worked and England have recovered well.

Yorkshire Young YJB... could he have discovered his red-ball form? Early to say but two centuries in his last 3 innings (the other being a 41 in the final dig at Sydney) makes me hopeful.

Shame Foakes didn't push on to a 50 but still a decent knock.

The women aren't helping themselves with some woeful fielding here.

I reckon our total with the bat is above par considering their attack.

That said, I still see WI taking a first innings lead, mostly because it'll be down to Stokes, Leach and Wood to deliver the wickets.

Can't bat, can't bowl, Braithwaite is motoring along.
England are so bad

Turns out Wood can bowl and Overton can occasionally get lucky.

We're still going to face a deficit after this innings.

According to Cricviz's Expected Wickets model, England's new-ball effort was their third-least threatening of the past decade, a display outdone only by England's efforts at Melbourne and Sydney at the fag-end of the 2017-18 Ashes - the former on one of the most disgracefully dead drop-in pitches in history; the latter in an asphyxiatingly hot dead-rubber at the SCG, a match in which Root would later keel over with sun-stroke.

One side is trying to bore the other into submission.

It needs Mark Wood to inject some energy into this contest.

The fact that England, specifically this England side, are 100/1 speaks volumes about this pitch.
