A strawberry floating run out when you're batting to save a game? :fp:

That's the game you'd think.

Required run rate of 3.76, 8 wickets in hand and two sessions to bat. Anyone here put money on an England win at this point?

If we had an in-form Stokes to come in I might raise an eyebrow slightly to the possibility, but as it is all we can do is bat out the draw. With no fielding restrictions, we'd need to start taking a lot of risks to get all those runs. Which scares me with this batting line-up.

I'm almost inclined to say they're more likely to win than draw, just because I think Moe and Jonny only really have the one mode and there's an infinitesimal chance it comes off.

I'm not sure YJB's customary 30 will be enough to get us over the line. I agree on Stokes, there is no-one in this batting lineup with the sheer force of personality to grab the game by the scruff of the neck. I'll be happy with us poddling along to tea without losing more than 2 wickets. If we exit tea 5 down then we're losing.

I didn't think it would happen quite so soon.

Well there is no way on earth that Mo can bat until tea, let alone bat the day out. Played India.

It's an odd feeling when you are both surprised and not surprised at all by every England collapse

Please please please can we bin off Moeen and Bairstow now. Neither of them provide anything other than the bare minimum with the bat anymore.

Burns and Hameed must be absolutely fuming.
