I did actually follow some of last night's game! There was no non-T20 cricket on and it's always nice to see the Ozzies getting beaten, whatever the format.

Malan's T20I average is absurd. I don't think Morgan likes him much but it's hard to argue with those numbers/performances.

Really didn't see England winning after the start Aus made, so fair play to the bowlers for not giving up in the middle overs!

Agree with that team, only person I'd be unsure of is Moeen given his form/lack of playing in the last year or so. But not sure who you'd replace him with so he probably stays.

You need two spinners

Good win again, but concerned towards the end but No just whacked a couple to make it safe.
Barstow's in danger of losing his place surely

I eagerly await Balla's report.

Anyone see Eoin Morgan's finger? Looked very painful but he no-sold it like a champ.

Some people hit the ball hard.

Some other people hit the ball hard.

One group of people hit the ball harder and better than the other.

If anyone from Wisden or Cricinfo’s reading I'm accepting commissions.

Zak Crawley has just completed a better than a run a ball first-class century.

And Ian Bell has just bowed out with a 90.

Captain Moe has been handed an absolute hospital pass here. Denly and Billings over Buttler and Morgan.

Need to improve our fielding in all formats, it's been terrible for a while now

Yeah definitely. The slip cordon in Test matches particularly, where something like 1/4 catches have been dropped over the last few years.

Unsure whether it was by virtue of him being a spinner or simply needing wickets after Australia's excellent start, but I liked the field he set for himself and Rashid. Morgan could learn from that (not knocking him at all, obviously).

Incredibly, Steve Smith was hit on the head in yesterday's training session and misses out today.

Warner out cheaply again. Such a shame.*
