Can't wait. I hate the fact that I have to miss loads due to work though in the mornings. Hopefully a 3-1 England win, but it wouldn't surprise me to see the Aussies sneak it.

3-1 England imo. We're the form team out of the two and thankfully few of the current side are going to have much mental scarring from previous defeats to the Aussies.

I think the winning team will be the one that bowls best as a unit and gets the most runs from the tail. I also reckon this will be the series that is the making of Stuart Broad as a top allrounder.

Also, it'd be strawberry floating brilliant if Ponting became the first Aussie captain to lose three Ashes series.

Looking forward to watching swann, he has become a quality bowler. Its strange how quickly this team has become so good. If only our football team could follow suit

I was at Edgbaston for THAT test in 2005. Was there first day (when we racked up 407 in a day.. think it was most runs we'd scored in a day since 1930!) and for THE final day. Best moment of my life. I still get tingles when I think about it, 5 years on. That moment where Geraint Jones dives... and I remember seeing the finger go up
         Words cannot describe. Hugging strangers, screaming, going mental, everyone. Plus we were sat near the aussies... I will never forget the lads who stood at the stand exit, singing Jerusalem at EVERY single Australian fan leaving for about an hour.

Looking forward to this. We've had some fantastic series since last years Ashes in all forms and a lovely T20 world cup too.

The warms ups have all gone well and at least we had some unlike last time.

I'm concerned though... Aussie have had bad prep and seem less ready than us.. to me I fear it's all a lot better than we think to create a false sense of security. I still can't help but think they are always huge favourites on their own turf.

We have a good attack but our batting has wobbled at various times this summer. I'm nervous I have to say.
