I love Dom Sibley. I love him even more when I can see him on telly.

Feel a bit sorry for Lawrence this morning. Hard enough coming in at no. 3 with only a couple of tests under your belt but you don't need Burns playing a stupid shot 15 mins before lunch.

You turn your back on the WI for two seconds and they collapse in a heap.

Dom :( 3 balls away from a really, really good day. Still a very good day for England though, well played chaps.

Yep, still a strong position. The ball was starting to turn more towards the end - hopefully England have made the best use of the wicket to get these early runs on day 1.

Good performance by England though - in times gone past, we would have somehow found a way of losing a whole bunch of wickets on a day like today.

What a fantastic day.

Sad for The Fridge falling in the final over, he won't get any plaudits but the fact is he's put almost 50 overs into the legs of the bowlers by himself.

Stokes, Pope and Buttler are going to come in tomorrow fresh against a semi-tired bowling attack and hopefully tear them apart.

England captain scoring an unbeaten century on the first day of test cricket being back on free to air. You couldn't have scripted a better story.

Stokes living a charmed life here...

Could have been out 4 times in his last 10 deliveries.

Edit: excellent session

This is fantastic but does anyone else think we're a bowler light in this match? Stokes has barely played any cricket for ages and he has a habit of picking up injuries when he bowls. Lot of work going to be asked of Leach and Bess.
