I think Dawson's better than you're giving him credit for, Celer. Very tight.

The selectors seem to agree with me, incidentally: https://www.cricbuzz.com/cricket-news/1 ... -cup-squad

Chris Jordan is on 158* for Sussex and has helped them from 68-6 to 370-6 - Just saying :shifty:

Yep!

Squad is out. The right choices, IMO.

Definitely, surprised to see Dawson in there as I didn't think we would be that brave.

Nor me. It sounds like everyone but Ed Smith was united on Denly not being in the squad. Including, according to sources*, Denly’s mum.

365games have dispatched my copy of Cricket 19 on the Switch. Haven't played a cricket game for years, really excited. Bet it's not as good as Brian Lara Cricket on the Mega drive.

Brian Lara Cricket on the PC was my absolute childhood

In other news, Afghanistan vs Pakistan is currently on Sky Sports Cricket. Afghan opener just hit one of the Pakistani opening bowlers for 21 in the over (Afghanistan are chasing around 260). Pakistani bowler trying to mouth off at him, Afghan batsman just waves him back to his mark. Awesome to see  The game is at Bristol so there are an absolute ton of extremely white British students with Afghan flags

I remember there being a glitch on the mega drive version where med pace left arm swing bowling was virtually unplayable and Neil Fairbrother used to get a ridiculous amount of wickets.

Afghanistan might replace NZ as my second favourite team.

In other news, we broke Morgan. Crap.

A reminder that the ECB would like you awfully to forget about the One-Day Cup, which it’s gutting to support the hot mess that is the Hundred next year, to the extent that it’s put a ‘World’ Cup warm-up match on the same day as the ODC final.

Afghanistan's numbers X and XI are how I feel I would look on TV facing international bowling. I genuinely think they're just too nice to bring on Archer to them.

Just in-case anyone was wondering what Ex-Zimbabwe legend Henry Olonga is up to these days. What a hero.

Boxed Switch version of Cricket 19 is a strawberry floating empty box and a download code. Not best amused as I'm pretty certain this wasn't mentioned beforehand. I'd better be getting some gold points with this strawberry floater.

That's just not cricket. :(

You will get gold points for it. The amount you get will depend on how much it is on the eShop.

Did anyone watch the opening ceremony on Sky1 earlier at 5? Wow, it was poor. I know the weather was a complete washout, but unusually for Sky the production was amateur hour.

Didn't watch it, no. What were the issues?

I didn’t watch it because it was on Sky, which remains the main problem.
