Is that over the whole season? Needs another 49 then, maybe in the next series.

Looks like we might both be wrong as I'd like to see him sent back to county cricket for a while now. But, then again, didn't Stokes confirm he was getting the whole series?

England seem to have a habit of either ditching players too rashly or sticking with players for too long. Zak's only averaging around 20 in CC this season isn't he? If he's struggling with his technique that badly in CC, the test arena is clearly the wrong place for him.

Crawley's average in the last 18 tests is 18

I think this will be over well before lunch tomorrow.

Well you can't say we're not influencing the game

I'd bet everything on Stokes not being there for more than 20 minutes.

I'd imagine you'd struggle to find a bookies that would give you better than even odds.

I'm no cricketer but I don't understand how this Maharaj guy is causing problems for anyone. The balls not really doing anything off the surface and yet they're swinging and missing like a blind man.

At least Nortje's belting down at 90+ mph. They need to remember that the aim of Baseball is to actually hit it.

Well at least it's entertaining

Stokes needs his bloody eyes checked though. He's not got near anything, may as well be trying to punch a fly.

Well that was utterly rubbish.

All well and good aiming to be entertaining but should really be aiming to be so for fans on the third, fourth and fifth days. They played less than 2 days with the rain delay :dread:

In today's unsurprising England cricket news, Crawley keeps his place. :fp:

If he doesn't make a score for the rest of the series I can't imagine he goes to Pakistan in December.

Crawley averages 18.61 since the start of 2021 (i.e. after his 267).

Do Kent have another opener that Key can call up?

Genuinely surprised to see Broad retained over Potts.
