Something like that did previously exist, can't remember the name and don't care because franchise cricket is rubbish anyway. Then what Rex said happened.

Anyway, less than a week until a proper cricket competition now! :msgreen:

My only prediction, fewer than 40% of games will actually have a result in April due to it pissing it down constantly.

A fair amount of overlap! Leics. did alright last season, hoping that could continue.

Wet old day to start off, mind. Rex on the way to success.

Feels very odd to see an Essex scorecard without the Chef at the top.

The way I see it is Elgar and Harmer will drag an average Essex into the 'best of the rest' spot because, let's face it, Surrey will win Div 1 owing to their sheer depth of talent.

Div 2 is slightly more open, though I think Yorkshire will get off to a great start given Root and Brook are available for the first 5 or 6 games.

My pick of Lancs. was a little bit of a bolter because of Lyon. Essex the saner option.

My pick of Sam Northeast however is looking downright inspired!

Poor Virat can't buy a win at the moment, I think RCB might actually be cursed.

9 CC games and probably only 1 result. And it's Notts losing. FFS

Not the best first round, especially given the two abandonments. English cricket needs to sit down and think about the timing of its long-form domestic championship.

It won't though.

Wow,.Mumbai absolutely battered RCB this afternoon. Chasing down just under 200 in just over 15 overs. That's what happens when you spunk your entirely budget on batsmen.

The forecast is looking much better for most of this round, down south anyway. Hoping for a few more results, although the Kookaburra may put paid to that idea...

So what's the deal with using an inferior import instead of the almighty Duke?

Big runs being made today, centuries everywhere. Dean Elgar out for 120, Shan Masood 113*.

Former England prospect Joe Clarke on for his second is as many games.

Warwickshire 300/0!

Somerset going from 195-1 to 236-9 is quite the achievement

And now Sunrisers have hit 287, Topley going at 17 an over across 4 overs. Big ask to chase that down.
