:( :( :( :(

That said... might that solve some otherwise difficult decisions? Woakes Broad Archer Stokes Leach looks alright to me.

Are we all agreed then that Archer is in for The Ashes?

Speaking of The Ashes... Dominic Sibley. :datass:

Archer will play - I'm fairly certain. Women's Ashes about to kick off, btw.

Edit: Oh. England one down after eight balls.

Around the 25 over mark I was expecting Bangladesh to get an absolute pasting but this game is on. Hopefully they can get off to a decent start, Tamim needs a score.

Yeh - a score over 400 was well on the cards there for a while.

strawberry floating hell, Sussex :fp:

Edit: Honestly dreadful. FFS. Looks like it's going to be a loss by just under 400 runs here.

Oopsie. Oopsie too regarding England’s Women.

If I’m correct I want India to win this, otherwise Bangladesh could kick out England if they beat Pakistan (and Pakistan kick out England if they beat Bangladesh). Trouble is, I never want India to win. Torn.

Who do you root for in an India vs. Australia final?

Rain.

Nah seriously I root for Australia. They don’t practically control cricket, and their fans aren’t as ubiquitous and lacking a sense of humour as India’s on Cricket Twitter. I also don’t hate Australia as much as some Brits - or rather, Australia’s current team. Langer and Bancroft are sickening, but Starc and Lyon are pretty good and the Gruesome Twosome have done their time.

Also Healy has just been dismissed. Every chance of Eng-W turning this around!!

Honestly I wouldn't like either side winning particularly and I probably wouldn't follow the final, but Mohammed Amir's match-fixing was far far worse than getting the ball to swing more and nobody's giving him gyp about it now.

Anyway if England crash out I'd like to see NZ win it, because apart from England they're the only possible semi-finalist now who hasn't yet. Also they're great.

The thread title incidentally is definitely not the case.

Amir's spot fixing affected next to nothing in the matches, he just made a few punters some money.

Aus's cheating was actually affecting matches and presumably had been for as long as they'd been doing it before they got caught.
