As much as I love Broad, I wouldn't allow him within a hundred miles of the captaincy. He'd burn through reviews in the first five minutes.
That's the problem though, there really isn't any obvious candidates. Buttler is doing too many jobs already, as is Stokes. Bowlers shouldn't be captains in my opinion so that only leaves a bunch of batsmen who've only been around 5 minutes. If I could choose anyone then I'd get Morgan back in red ball cricket and give it him.

Unequivocally yes. Give the captaincy to the person with the best cricketing brain. Stokes has enough on his plate, so Buttler or perhaps Burns as he captained Surrey to the championship title.

I don’t really ‘do’ the relationship thread, but sorry to read about the divorce Mini E.

Thank you mate. I don't either, but it seemed the apt thread to tell someone! I'm not sleeping too much so some night cricket involving England being 78-9 before lunch might be quite a nice distraction.

Indeed I did!
Got my copy of his book signed and snapped a couple of pics and had a very brief chat. He lol'd when I greeted him with "My dear old thing!".

Guy was already one of my favourite non-England cricketers.
