I don't really have time for a full response right now but if they want a left arm bowler I'd prefer someone that bowls faster than 75-80 mph. Agree to a degree about Porter, I suppose they are going to use him to rest one of Broad and Anderson at times in the series. I'd like Porter to get at least 3 bites of the cherry though. What are they going to do with him when Woakes is back?

I’d prefer that too. How much does England miss Ryan Sidebottom?

Probably drop him. Is it the right thing to do? Certainly not. Will they do it anyway? Almost certainly.

Wasn't there talk of Broad and Anderson being rotated in and out of the team during this series or am I imagining it? I guess Porter will get his opportunities then.

Yeah, ideally, but as I said, Woakes is due back soon. What do they do with Porter then?

Are we bowling or batting first then gents? I think I’m bowling, trying to get Dhawan and Kohli nicking off early.

In the last week it's (apparently) seemed like a sub-continental pitch but the staff have been pouring thousands of litres onto the pitch to help retain some damp. If you win the toss in the sub-continent, you bat first. Win the toss here, generally you bat first.

Also, I'm really hoping Kohli grabs a few ducks, not least to see r/Cricket go into total meltdown.

Cricinfo has decided that the ball-by-ball needs to be accompanied for an advert for clothing that’s barely there. Not really something I want to display on my work computer. :dread:

Joe Clarke has been seen training with the squad. Rory Burns has not.

If they’re going for talent over evidence, may as well play Vince. At least he looks good.

You do realise they're cookie based adverts that serve content they think you're interested in? Mine is Aviva, which I assume is because my car insurance is due in the next month.

Fairly sure I’ve never shopped for women’s ‘clothing’ on my work computer.

Dobell tells me a presentation was being made to Colin Graves for England's 1000th Test...but he has dropped the trophy...it's broken in two...

The symbolism is strong with this one.
