Buttler saluting Cotterill

54 runs off eleven balls formed part of that innings. What the actual strawberry float? I feel so lucky to have been able to watch that at work

Blimey I switched that on at the right time. When I switched it on Sky were predicting a score of 330. Ten overs later …..

Alongside the 11 balls for 54 runs, Buttler went from 50 to 150 in 32 balls.

Absolutely incredible batting. Another Jos Buttler special and the ton that Morgan's form in the last year has deserved.

Just imagine how good this England side would be if they had one match winning bowler to go alongside the 6 match winning batsmen that they already have.

Instead they’re going to let WI chase down a target of 400+. Nice.

Err, no. I meant a world class bowler.

He’s a world class LO bowler. Just keep him away from Tests.

In celebration of Cricket 19 coming to Switch (and everything else), I came up with Nintendo’s cricket team:

Saeed Anwario (c)
Ben Ducklett
Calum Fox McLeod
Sachin Nintendulkar
James Hildreth of the Wild
Wiiaan Mulder
Luke Ronchi Kong (wk)
Samus Curran
Jack Peach
Umario Gul
Josh Game Boysden

Apparently Ramprakash was relieved of his duty over the weekend. Have to say I don't think it's a bad move after reading and listening to a couple of interviews, seems like he was a softly-softly type (who let's not forget never really cracked Test cricket) that might not have been a strong enough character.

Thorpe is the favourite to take over and by all accounts he is a more forceful kind of character. He's also a UKIPer. :(

I try not to think about most cricketers’ political leanings. Beefy, heavily involved with ‘my’ club Durham, was very pro-Brexit. As for Gentleman Farmer Alastair Cook...

That's some recovery from 69-8.

Bangladesh team apparently narrowly avoided being involved in one of the Christchurch mosque shootings.

Yes... and they’ve cancelled the last Test. Seems reasonable.

If you have any kind of Sky package (even the absolute most basic, like yours truly) you can watch the IPL on channel 729.

Ashwin mankaded Buttler yesterday in the IPL - poor form. I had an extremely brief and polite discussion with Harsha Bhogle on Twitter (a couple of tweets each) where I mentioned how long the game is going to take if bowlers are attempting to mankade two or three times per over (in an era where we seem to be trying to speed the game up). The Indian cricketing fraternity have now descended into my notifications. My personal favourite:
