I can safely say that even I'd have caught that.

Denly

If that was during a crucial phase of a match you'd be steaming but ultimately it doesn't matter.

Test cricket’s back in Pakistan! And it’s been heralded by some truly Pakistan selections. No spinner, Imam dropped, Fawad Alam not played...

The non-selection of Fawad Alam is one of the most mind-boggling things in all cricket over the last decade.

No issues with Imam being dropped, he's excellent in limited overs but has struggled in Tests. No spinners though is an interesting one.

If you haven't already I'd recommend listening to Mark Wood's short Sky Sports podcast on the World Cup final, it's hilarious.

If anyone's interested in the franchise and marketing slog-fest that is the Big Bash, it starts at 08:10 on BT Sport. Tom Banton will hopefully be starting for the Brisbane Heat. Banton and Lynn opening up is going to be absolutely insane. Hopefully they'll both fire at the same time at least once this season.

England have made it to 140/1 against the SA invitation XI. Whilst this would seem like a hollow success, it's better than they've fared against other test nations' respective invitational XIs.

Warm-up sides around the world are pretty bobbins to be honest.

Warm up tons for jocular Joe and Olly Pope. 8-)

Got a feeling that Pope is going to absolutely crush this series.

If Pope is ill that'll mean Bairstow is back in, FFS.

He is. And Root chose to bowl. And Broad and Anderson took the new ball and bowled too short.

Comedy of errors. Fortunately SA have made a couple too.

Hopefully today seals Curran's involvement for the rest of the series.

Think England got off quite lightly because all the bowling I saw was pretty meh apart from a spell from Broad.

Wow.

On the plus side Pope doesn’t have to worry about his spot.

Day at least ended on a positive. Really hope Burnsy can go onto three figures and register a Daddy Hundred.
