So they’re leaving him out of the first Pakistan Test, right?

I didn't realise the next series was starting so soon - love it when we play Pakistan, never a dull series.

Y’all will be glad to know that apparently my mockers extend to other fora. Wanted Big Rahkeem to get a quick fifty. Didn’t happen.

Decent article articulating why Broad is unstoppable when he's on-song: https://www.espncricinfo.com/story/_/id ... better-age

Also, Broad post-Hadley:

Still, can’t complain about a lack of Test cricket at the moment! And to be fair I’ll take anything where Moe gets to play. Love Moe.

I know I wasn't sure whether today's game was 50 or 20 overs but you'd have thought they'd have told the Irish.

I see Bairstow and Roy missed a big chance to inflate their averages.

Reminder that the Bob Willis Trophy started today. Proper cricket.

And Durham have already been rained off.

The Dagnall-Pietersen commentary team must be one of the worst foisted upon us in cricketing history.

I did enjoy it when he said about how you shouldn't hold grudges and Pietersen just fumed

What's wrong with Daggers? I must admit that the one time I heard Pietersen on TMS he seemed decent as well, begrudgingly.

I don't mind Charles Dagnall. KP just says the same things repeatedly. Had to deal with the Sky comms for both of the ODIs so far, and KP pulls out identical commentary for each player (in particular James Vince). Very opinion based. Not awful, but definitely a 'B' Team, which is inevitable for these games. To be fair, the same goes for TMS. I have a huge amount of time for Michael Carberry as a player (used to watch Hants a lot, think he was treated awfully after the Mitchell Johnson Ashes series, has done amazingly with his health battles) but he's a very average commentator.

Even the commentary teams seem quite 'after the Lord Mayor's show' for these games. Bring on Wednesday and the return of the big guns.

I see Hameed got a score yesterday. Nice to see given his struggles since that India tour.

Peter Moores might be just what he needs. Or might not.

Carlos Brathwaite has absolutely been the find of the summer for me. Great in the commentary box.
