Good session. England did everything right with the exception of a shoddy field for some of the spin overs and the drop by Lawrence off Chandimal.

Broad, Wood and Curran all bowled well (though Broad's first over was almost exclusively down the leg-side :slol:

). Mathews looks very uncomfortable against Wood who was routinely between 91-93mph from his third delivery onwards.

Leach was a little loose, but from his third over onwards he was much better, bowled a couple of absolute jaffas that had Chandimal groping and consider himself fortunate to have survived.

Bess has probably been the weakest of the bowlers but barely. Couple of pies aside he's put it in good areas, keeping the batsmen honest.

The only thing to nitpick is Root's field. He is going to need to learn how to set better fields to spin if he wants to challenge India.

Did not expect to wake up to this.

Sri Lanka are proper shite at the moment.

Apparently the latest wicket was quite good. Almost spoils it.
