PS5 pre-ordered, and Xbox Series X in 2022 or 3 (possibly by then they'll also have slimmed it down). The exclusives such as Fable and Forza 8 appear to be a looooooong way off. Unless they suddenly close it down, I'll probably have so many Microsoft Reward points by then GamePass won't cost me anything for months.

PS5 is preordered.

I'm also intrigued by the Playdate, and might try getting my hands on one if/when they release.

I might try and nab a PS5 at launch or at least get one within the first 6 months.
If we do get a Switch Pro, that'll probably be a day one purchase.

Neither console has any good games, or games that warrant a day one purchase; so no.

Ah! I'd kinda forgotten about the Playdate, Yoshimi - great call! It does look cool and very creative, although it does also seem to be taking a bit longer to launch than I'd anticipated. Maybe it'd best fit in the "Other new retro gaming system" category for voting purposes?

Oh, and if anyone is thinking about grabbing the Evercade retro gaming system, I'd suggest putting it in that category, too.

Upgrading my GPU is the main thing. Switch Pro if it exists and has a BOTW level of killer app (do we say that any more?) and maybe a PS5 if there’s anything especially amazing that’s exclusive to it by the end of next year, otherwise I might wait it out on a PS5 Pro.

I was close to preordering an Analogue Pocket the other month there but the ridiculous UK delivery price and custom fees put me right off.

Series X at launch (hopefully) and then nothing else planned, Switch Pro could always be considered under a couple of points, number 1 being it’s existence and 2 being how much of an upgrade it is that couldn’t just be left till 2022/3 and marketed as a Switch 2 instead, Nintendo did say they planned to support the Switch for about 7 years I recall seeing one day.

I'll likely get a PS5 at some point, but until there are next gen only games i want (especially as the likes of Watch Dogs Legion and Hogwarts Legacy are on both PS4 and 5), then it's doubtful i'll get one any time soon (and might well be after 2021).

Oh, boy, I'd love to have one and the idea of running my old GB carts in super-crisp style is so attractive. But, yeah, too expensive for my blood at the mo'.

I'm gonna stick with playing the big cross-gen titles on current systems where possible, too. I'm hoping that stuff like Watch Dogs Legion and Cyberpunk will at least be pretty decent on PS4.
