Actually there was a ton of stuff left in Ireland I'm on 'power level' 88 at the moment and I'm starting to cope better with enemies. I also have Bayeks cloak (from AC Origins)....love that bastard!

Photek wrote:Bought Assassins Creed Rogue Remastered on Xbox Sale for €9 and I have to say, it looks stunning. The horrendous Irish accent of the main character aside (maybe non Irish people wouldn't notice). I'm really enjoying it. It's FPS boosted so runs at a perfect 60fps and seemingly is still 4K. (AC3 Remastered is FPS boosted but resolution gets cut dramatically).

Your best mate in the game is actually Irish which makes the main character stand out even more!

Ill never understand the need to cast a non Irish person to play an Irish character, we have some decent acting folk kicking around, surely casting one of them would make the most sense. Same applies to any where that has a recognisable accent, they likely have some half decent natives that could get the job done so why not use one of them.

Also, just started this last night, literally just completed the prologue and poked around in the Ubisoft Connect stuff wich remind me I played Odyssey for 180 hours so Valhalla has a lot to live up to!

140 hours in, just killed the last of the order, map is clear and on my way back to Norway.

Some trophies to mop up and should be on the way to the end and platinum trophy soon.

Fin.

I think I did it in around 143 hours. One trophy left and its a bastard! I haven't been playing the dice game (only once at the start and once for one of the order puzzles) so I have a lot to do. Plus im not a fan but I can't give up now.

I hated the dice game at first as it all just seemed random but after a few games (only did it for the trophy) I really started to enjoy it and once you understand it fully it’s unlikely you will lose so it will not take long to get the trophy

I try to remember how to win.

If I remember it correctly, the best method to collect the gold tokens as much as you can and defend your stones too. That's how I won every game. But sometimes you would need to use the arrows if the opposite doesn't have block dices.

And done. Well 2 of 3 main arcs. Still have to hunt down all the OoA.]

That story is utterly bonkers. Requiring you to remember things from 70 hours ago in a cutscene, or 2-3 games ago. It's amazing how much they expect you to remember the 30min of modern story in a 100 hour Ubisoft openworld fest :D

So the ISU were the Asgard gods?

The Asgard/Johtenhiem stuff was just Enivor interpreting it in way he could understand right?

And Odin throughout the game was just Odin trying to dominate/control his new host/body?

And now Loki's in the present somehow as Basim? That's strawberry floating weird.

Done all the collections in each area but feel a bit silly looking at achievement list now - there's some real hard oddities in there I'm probably not going to do.

Regarding OoA

Surprised only 1/2 down by the end. In Odyessy you'd got basically all of them - but then every side quest villain turned out to be one.

They've not really explained the OoA as much as Kult so not as engaged in hunting down.

The only notable NPC left to be leader is Alefred (unless it's a real curveball like Rhandi for example) - but I can't tie that in with what happened earlier)

100%ed Druids as well. Not sure if I'll do Paris. I assume it's the same thing - same basic gameplay in a new setting? Doesn't add much?

I think I've been told Isle of Skye is worth doing now post game as it adds some stuff to context?

Doing some DLC in the Isle of Skye, it may be free (I have season pass so don’t actually know). Either way it’s great to see Kassandra from Odyssey, how She interacts with Eivor is quite amusing.
