Yeah i like it, and I know I said it before but the fact you can respec means that if you want to have more challenge you can lower your power level

Appearatly there's mastery stuff, but I haven't unlocked anything like that yet

I've been playing this a lot more today and it's great. At the moment, I stopped at the first present world with Layla and does anybody read her stuff on the laptop?

It took me a while to play the tutorial before the title appeared.

OK, I’m back on this (still haven’t left Norway yet lol), but it’s really starting to click with me. After a lukewarm start (which I mostly put down to being tired and needing something more immediate than this), I can now see myself spending a lot of time here.

Into East Anglia now (after a detour into Asgard :lol:

I really like the structuring of the game as mostly self-contained stories per kingdom. The game is huge but this breakdown makes it feel like multiple manageable stories of which there are more if you want them, rather than one drawn out and overly padded affair.

Also the absolute inception of me playing as Layla in the animus as Eivor dreaming about being Havi :lol:

Brilliant.

I'm surprised that PS5 is having a smaller patch like 2.5GB.

Anyway it'll be interesting to see how much different between resolution and performance mode.

My girlfriend had another hard crash last night on PS4 during a cutscene. Hopefully this update will make things more stable.

The release notes are an interesting read, there are some pretty significant changes

Guards who clearly saw Eivor shoot their ally will now turn hostile. *presses emergency button*

Among Us fans at Ubisoft I guess?

Well I stopped playing last night because it hard crashed on me, and that was after the update. Oh well :lol:

I've just made it to London, choosing to do that after East Anglia but before Oxfordshire. Back at the settlement I had to turn down Radvi's romantic advances because despite being a murderous viking I am not in fact a terrible person.

Done 2 hours of this tonight on PlayStation 5. Very enjoyable so far. Going to try to find everything I can in the starting area before moving on. Bow feels great, combat flows well and the upgrades and skills are really well done.

The river kennet isn't in the game, but there is a stream into the Thames at the abbey that plays the same role which is a neat detail. I think this is the closest I've ever had to a place I've lived being in a game!

25 hours into this and I'm enjoying it.

Love to explore the secrets, side quests and raid for the gold.

Just got on the boat to England. Loving this so far. Sense of progression is very well done and it feels like a very confident game. The combat is excellent and it really rewards experimentation and use of all skills.

I’m only 4 hrs in and guess I’m nowhere near leaving Norway.

Looks lovely on the XSX and I’m just wandering around doing the odd quest. Probably should get on with it

It took me 8 hours to leave Norway. It's a stunning location but when I arrived in England with the rivers and the trees it's picture perfect. Can't wait to start building up my base and learning new skills. I like how the skill tree is set out and how raid and searching are required for both new equipment and new abilities. Massively encourages exploring and raiding.

The last AC game I finished was AC2. I’ll never get close to finishing any of AC3, 4, Origins, Odyssey so Valhalla has got no chance!

But I do enjoy them!

Picked this up again today and spent about an hour trying to kill some old man in a cave so he could go to Valhalla. Only reason I did it was because I dropped the difficulty down to the easiest mode. Felt like a Souls game and I hated it, but I was too stubborn to give in at that point and quit altogether.

I still don't feel like it's properly grabbed me which is a shame, but will make it my game of choice for the foreseeable to hopefully it does soon!
