Main story after suthsexe you have wincestre and norway, although I think you might have to do the other regions anyway to get the norway unlock? You should do asgard return before norway as it is story relevant despite being optional. After norway you should unlock hamtunscire for the england story finale and then complete the order to get the conclusion.

74 hours is crazy quick, I'm guessing that's with skipping most side content? Although tbf playing on PS5 probably has massively quicker load times than the abysmal PS4 and I didn't fast travel much at all (only really for doing the order).

I haven't done much at all in Asgard, and I've done some (but not anywhere near all) mysteries. Ravensthorpe is nearly at level 6.

Well that means you've done most of the monastery raids and those are the best bits of the game :toot:

I've done all of them, I believe. Certainly there are no more red ones on the map.

Pretty sure you should have enough resources for ravensthorpe level 6 then? As they come from the raids.

For some reason, I'm 1200 short.

Well I’m on with Suthsexe arc now (currently looking for the Mentors armour set, it’s one of the few other sets that I like the look of although it doesn’t have any weapons associated with it I recall so may have to make do with the fully upgraded starting ones if I do change my armour), weirdly enough I could pledge to Wincestre before doing the Suthsexe arc? I’ll head back to Asgard after this anyway, as I said feels like I’ve still got loads to do even without obsessing over loot or world events!

I tried doing the start of Ostara yesterday, but it seemed to be glitching, as I couldn’t interact with the decoration points. This explains why:

I’m not even doing the Ostara event after Yule one, felt like a waste of time. I’ve just thought one thing though, OR said that there wasn’t any credits, does that mean the dlc is going to make up a reasonable chunk of Eivor’s story and thus quite crucial to play? I’ll probably get it down the line but after how aspects of this have dampened my experience of the game I’ll leave the dlc till later in the year, hopefully when it’s on offer.

Does anyone know how downgrading the armour works? Does it only work for maxed out items that are then reverted to minimum level? I’m going to have a play when I’ve got all the Mentor armour and try it on a copied save so I don’t mess up my save should it not work like I hope.

Edit, downgrading gear is very easy to do, although it seems you can only downgrade it to when you actually obtained said item, so the Raven Clan gear goes back to level 1 and base quality, an item you found at flawless could only be downgraded to flawless, so you only get back what you put in. I’m tempted to reset my Raven clan gear and max out the Mentor set, also spears make this game so easy, even more so with the perk for 2 handed weapons to be used in 1 hand, although I read about a very good spear you get at the end of the game which makes it sound the ideal way to be overpowered in this

The story concludes in a pretty satisfying way but it's definitely open for further development.

That’s good to know, was wondering if it was left on a cliffhanger on purpose to push DLC sales for it.

I am around 90 hours into the game now, I am going for Platinum, I now have the long task of collecting everything in each region and the on fire trophy (not tried getting it yet)

Personally I couldn’t imagine anything more annoying than clearing every bit of loot from the map, it’s easily the worst aspect of the game so the less time spent doing it the better  Each to their own of course though.

I did get the trophy for beating all the orlog players. Actually a really fun game, albeit unbalanced!

The other thing to note for 100% is that you only need to collect the brighter loot that contributes towards the region completion on the map, that appears on the second level of zoom I think? The duller chests that only appear when zoomed in further aren't needed for 100%

I have really enjoyed this game and want to feel that I have 100% completed it although I doubt I will be loving every minute of collecting everything, the mysteries will at least break up just collecting wealth

I enjoyed Orlog the first couple of games I played I had no idea what was going on but once you understand it then it’s rare you don’t win

I wondered about that because I started last night clearing Leicestershire and wondered why my wealth meter wasn’t going up and it must have been because I was getting the really zoomed in ones

Don’t get me wrong, I’m really enjoying the bulk of the game, it looks glorious, plays really well most of the time (climbing can be a bit hit or miss I find), story and characters are enjoyable, but the wealth just irks me after so long. I’m enjoying it immensely more after stopping collecting any of it (except an armour set I’ve recently searched out that might get switched with the Raven Clan gear) and playing it like BoTW, pick a spot on the map/horizon and explore! Loved going from one side of Hadrian’s wall to the other for example, seeking out Stone Henge will be next on that kind of list.

I do agree Orlog is quite enjoyable, kind of got through via blind luck the first couple of times though

I think flyting might be my personal favourite side activity. I love the idea of Viking rap battles.

Flyting is great :D

Nearing 100 hours on this now, trying to defeat the Zealots but I seem to have not discovered the remaining 5? Got all the viewpoints and explored (to the extent where you can see it rather than it just being blank on the map) I’d guess about 95% of the map? Do more come into it once you’ve finished the main quest or am I missing something obvious? Also the anomaly on the Isle of Wight, for the life of me I can’t jump from one slope to the next :fp:

The zealots are revealed as you deal with other members of the order.

Ah thanks, I was going to finish off the order, finding the last 2 Assassin Bureaus after I’d done the main quest. Thought the Zealots would be there from the start as they said killing those leads to discovering other members of the order.
