Nioh’s main character is an Irishman who had his home ransacked by the English when he was young and was forced to join their Navy. He later is thrown in prison at the Tower of London where he eventually escapes and loses his guardian spirit Saoirse, before heading to Japan to thwart the Queen of England’s plans to use magic Japanese stones to rule the world. And he sounds like this:

Anyway, I bought this in the sale. Haven’t got the druids expansion, but I feel like the scale of this thing, and how little time I get to play it, it’ll be years before I’m totally done with it

Kickstarter for physical Orlog game:
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/pu ... -dice-game

It reached its goal in 35 minutes! Already nearly doubled its target on day 1. It’s not something I’d buy, but it’s a nice looking set. The cheapskate cardboard health counters have already been replaced with real stones, thanks to it smashing the stretch goal.

Been putting the time into this over the past week, and was thinking to try and complete as much as I can before I finish the story. After nearly 80 hrs of gaming Im at 20% :slol: So I guess I will just continue the story from now on

Wow! The final parts on this blew my mind! I will spoiler proof everything just in case

I remember when Eivor and Basim had that deep conversation in the forest about family and it impressed me so much that I took a video on my cellphone to show it to my friends as I really liked the script on that bit. SO yesterday I finished the Asgard sidequest and things started to click but the game never tells you exactly this or that so you are always left with that cloud of doubt that maybe you are looking too much into it. But when Basim comes in again in the last bit I said Oooooooh! So Basim IS Loki! I replayed that cutscene in the forest and it made so much more sense now!

To be fair I tought the storyline would just end in that moment however, I find the parts where you go outside the animus put me off the game. I liked how Loki in the end sort of tricks everyone and is now back to life in modern times, but I dont know how I feel about playing Eivor through him in the last part of the game. I feel like the biggest moment in the game was the revelation that Loki was Basim but maybe the game will keep on giving

Anyways, it was a really good bit of story telling and for sure one of the best moments in any AC game for me

I've returned to this and I'm trying to complete it. 92% trophy so it won't be long to get a Platinum trophy.

I have got all the mastery challenges to do, I love the game but think I have put enough time into it now and can’t see me getting around to doing them, it’s a shame because it would have been satisfying to see a full 100%

This. I should stop buying AC games.

I buy one.

Download it.

Impressed at the opening scenes.

Opens world map.

Overwhelmed.

Soldiers on.

Oh lord this is going to take ages.

Do some side quests. Getting less impressed.

Uninstall it.

Oh what’s this? A new Assassin Creed game? Why not.

Repeat.

The map size and overload of icons has gone overboard since Black Flag in my opinion, Black Flag felt more manageable because you spent a lot of the time quickly sailing between locations in your ship rather than on foot/horseback. The overload of map icons from Unity especially, the games are good and still enjoyable but there is just far too much to much bloat in there, I think the games would be much better for it if they were about half the size (map wise) and had a lot less bloat on the map, focusing on the main and side quests instead of collectibles.

I've not gone back to this since I was annoyed by a cairn puzzle which seems all but impossible.

I just think they are too long, and they always feel like a chore because most of us feel like we need to complete the game 100% to get the full experience. The last three were already long enough even If you abandon that line of thinking and just go about your way and complete the main quest.

Story-wise, I liked all of them, but the last parts of Valhalla when I started connecting the puzzles together really blew my mind, and just for that I am glad about soldiering on on the main quest.

Pretty much this in a nutshell.

Got this on Series X at launch, played it quite a bit, got to England, found the Open World just too big to manage and never played it since :fp:

I think Orlog is fun! It shouldn't be too difficult either, rng is a thing but you can get some pretty unbalanced tokens
