This sounds like Gravity Rush

Bought this yesterday for my girlfriend, so I'll probably be playing it vicariously. Which works out well considering I'm pretty bad at Platinum games in general.

That's a fairly good comparison, particularly in combat.

Yeah, there are a lot of similarities to Gravity Rush. I actually used that one when describing to a friend of mine.

So the combat is really slow and floaty?

For me it was more the ambience and graphical style.

My comparison with GR's combat was more about the complexity of the controls, the number of things you have to keep an eye on at any time and the legion gauge is very reminiscent of the gravity one. You have a finite resource that you have to juggle whilst also doing Bayonetta style combat. Also, the style is fairly similar though I still think the setup of the levels reminds me of Deus Ex (but without the flexibility of approach).

Just finished file 9. Want this to end now. It's a bit too long for a game with a fairly limited number of party pieces. I'm about 24 hours in.

I'm only at the end of file 5 but my main complaint is that each file seems to long. I think the game would have been better served with shorter, snappier files but more of them. When I get to the end of a file, I'm kind of done with it for a little while and don't feel the need to race back in.

File 5 was excellent though. Good setting, good enemies.

Also, quick question - is there actually any point to the Legion maintenance bit?

This logo didn't quite work out - there is a fair amount of white edging that shows a bit too much when I remove the white background - but I post it here as a dedication to you guys who are gettin' totally Astral!

Great logo Jawa!

Partway through File 4, Harmony Square looks great and i’ve enjoyed spending an hour or so searching the city.

I agree with Rex that the Files do seem to be too long, enjoying the fighting more with the Unchained mode though.

Question, are you guys playing Docked or Handheld? I always play Switch in Handheld mode but this is the first game making me feel like trying it on a TV.

and finished well it was clear yosheph was gonna fuse with something, wasnt quite expecting eveything. good old fashioned final battle with god like entity, though the story felt like it ended kind of abruptly. the sort of conclusion rounding off what became of everyone that youd expect at the end didnt come until you go back into your save overall a good game
