DMC5 is fantastic and I fully suggest playing it. As for AC, I'm sure it'll be good, but I'm going to wait until actual humans get a touch of it. I don't trust games journalists as far as I can throw them when it comes to character action games.

That Eurogamer review has taken me from 'not really interested' to 'I've still got a game left on my 2 games for £84 voucher'. Probably don't want it digital though.

Caved and ordered this form Amazon. The reviews really make this sound like an interesting experience (in spite of my initial confusion over what makes this different to a DMC game), and the game length sounds just about perfect for my tastes.

I caved too, the reviews make it sound like it isn't a straight up Bayonetta/DmC clone and that interests me more than it did previously.

Yep, 100%. The suggestion that you are not in combat for approx 50% of the time really sold me on it. I'm hoping for future Yakuza / Judgement vibes, but that's a long shot i know.

Those parts make me think more of the investigation sequences in Heavy Rain than anything citylike.

The official Nintendo shop (not sure who is holding the license though, maybe The Hut) is extremely good here. They send their pre orders out Royal Mail Tracked, then email and text you a rough time a day before.

Wish more companies still used Royal Mail or DPD these days.

I’m feeling very much the same, not that I’ve got a load to play currently (amazingly just got Bloodstained to try and get through) but once Link’s Awakening comes out on the 20th of September I’m not going to be short of stuff to play till well into next year, I’ve resisted up until now but it does look very good.

Just had my first real boss battle, that was fun

Would have been able to get it even cheaper tomorrow but I'm going on holiday tomorrow so I wouldn't be able to pick it up.
