It's always frustrating how I find Platinum games too hard on normal and too easy on well, easy...

I need a meh option for their games :lol:

This really caught my eye during the first announcement even though I've never quite got on with Platinum games.

Same, actually. I found Bayonetta too one-note given its combat-only focus (I know that’s the intention, it just didn’t work for me), and I found TW101’s cut-scenes and characters awful and its missions too long. Fingers crossed for this one! It reminded me of Xenoblade on first sight, which is a good sign.

They are actually adding in a lot of options that you can tweak so you can have things like auto dodging. Think Jawa posted the details on the previous page.

Platinum's flair is what has made their games look appealing to my eyes but I'm not one for a fuck-ton of combat/crazy combo shenanigans. So far Astral Chain seems to maintain that flare, just with a more varied gameplay palette.

I'm interested but I also doubt there'll be a good month or more to put aside for it right now - unless of course people are raving about it, in which case I might just bite the bullet early.

No wonder Nintendo lifted the review embargo so early.

They must have known how good it is and wanted a week of hype. I imagine a lot of fence sitters will have their mind convinced following these reviews.

Damn I'm gonna have to hold off on this until I get a pro controller. The drift on my joycons are getting pretty bad. Planning on getting the new 8bitdo Pro but that's not released till end of next month.
