Hope its a good one!

I picked up a last minute ticket yesterday to next week's Manchester gig. Not listened to muse in years, but they were the first band I really got into and the first gig I went to ever, during the absolution tour, so thought it was worth a punt.

Haven't really listened to any new Muse stuff since the terrible 2nd law album, there wasn't a single decent song on the album and they just seem to have gone in a musical direction that I don't like.

Tom Morello supporting, would love to have seen that. Oh well, stupid stadium prices.

Wow. What a great gig. Saw all of Tom Morello's set too which was surprisingly decent considering its 99% guitar and 1% vocal. He played for 45 mins and his entrance was cool as strawberry float.

Muse were tremendous. Once it got dark their light show and screen really took centre stage. I spent half the gig in the unreserved seating and the other half about halfway into the crowd to sample both sides.

Knights of Cydonia in the bouncing mosh at the end was awesome. Somehow managed to film it and not drop my phone.

10/10

Enjoy Bristol / Manchester guys!

Sounds like I’m going to have a good night on Wednesday!

I forgot Morello was supporting, looking forward to seeing him, plus the people I’m going with are going to strawberry floating hate a 99% guitar performance.

I really enjoyed it. Tom Morrello was great and Muse were fantastic. The whole show was put together so well, from the music, to the videos and the giant robot puppet.

Manchester was great last night. It was great how the atmosphere changed through the sunset when they were able to use lighting properly. So many epic moments. Spent all of it stood up and didn't regret it.

It was the same in Bristol, bright daylight at first and then an awesome lighting show once the sun went down. I’m glad you enjoyed it.

Yeah some cheaper non stadium gigs would be welcome.

Arenas won't be much cheaper than stadiums really. I remember paying 70 or 80 all in for the Drones tour.

strawberry floating London and Birmingham every damn time.

Was hoping they'd do a show at the Newport centre again like for the drones warm up.

There's a drones tour documentary thing on sky arts at the moment. Says it's new (I don't know what thst really means in this context), and has stuff from the various dates they did, so hopefully something from the Berlin gig I went to will feature.
