I stayed up all night so I had a plan. 8-)

Holy gooseberry fool, almost all the venue just sold out in the last 10 minutes

But remember most the tickets will go on sale tomorrow (probably like 80% of them I'd imagine).

I would imagine 9:00AM FE.

Edit: The presale ends an hour before it , at 8:00AM.
So if you're buying from ticketmaster it's 9:00AM ( double check just incase )

The presale has been pwned now.

General sale will be at 9am tomorrow morning, but http://www.gigsandtours.com might start at like 8:58 like they did this morning.

Ticketmaster is more reliable because they're a larger site, but they only hold tickets for about 1 minute, increasing the likelihood that you might piss yourself, strawberry float up entering your info and lose the ticket. You can sign up for an account on there though and put in your info early so you have less to enter when you're buying the ticket, but you will need your card's security code!! Once I didn't have the card on hand because I thought my details were already registered so lost the ticket. (That and the security code had rubbed off the card anyway. :x)

http://www.gigsandtours.com holds for five minutes while you put in your details. At least that's what it said when I went to checkout for some random gig to see how it worked. But their servers went mental this morning.

I read on the Muse forums that presales are only a "very small" percentage of the actual tickets so you have just as much chance of getting a ticket tomorrow.

I'm warning you though, the London dates always vapourise in under 10 minutes for standing, and seated not much later. It also depends on the size of the venue.

Don't forget that if you miss the tickets you can try other sites with their own ticket allocations, or buy over the phone, which these days might actually be less busy.

Edit: A search for Muse events on Ticketmaster doesn't seem to be showing anything up. :? I thought they sold tickets for everything.

Muse.mu links to gigsandtours.com - which is affiliated with SJ&M Live promotions or something, who do Muse gigs.

I should be set. Got an account with the CC details already in place as usual. All I do is wake up at 8:50, log on , and make a few clicks!

If anyones worried about leaving those details on an account , you can always delete or amend the account so there details are no longer stored.

This means you will get through the process in under a minute ( depending on the servers! ).

In any case , the knowledge that I will be ahead of anyone typing in their details is enormously reassuring!

At first I was like "Ah, too expensive, don't know if anyone else is going, blah blah", but then I phoned my friend, got really excited about it and by the time I'd entered my details they were gone. :(

I'm really excited about this now, must get up early tomorrow. Or stay up all night.

I'm terrible at this , I set 5 alarms on my phone 1/2 minutes ahead of each other to make sure I get up lol

 I have done similar things. The biggest problem I have is simply integrating alarms into my dream so I don't even register it as an alarm in the outside world. Nearly all my dreams are lucid, which doesn't help.

I just happen to have a completely nocturnal sleep pattern at the moment so I was awake anyway, although I was getting tired.

It's a really expensive ticket but I can afford it and I will probably enjoy the gig so much that I won't even remember it cost anything. And there is the support band(s as well, which Muse always get a say in, so hopefully they'll be good. I left the last two gigs on a whole other level of awesome - it's a full frontal sensory assault after which I just wanted to play in the band, party and make the best of life for weeks afterward, with the songs still ringing in my ears.

Inspiring to say the least.

Wait, is this a tour for their new album?

Also, is this gigs and tours site the best bet? My plan is to click on the Muse part on the homepage at 10 to 9, then hit refresh for 10 minutes, having my details ready to be pasted in.

Yeah, it's The Resistance tour, name of the new album.

Dunno if the full thing will be out by then though.

That is basically what I did Smurphy, yeah. Remember that your card expiry and start date might be reversed in the order of the form details - don't mix them up! (Or your order will be rejected but only after the tickets have sold out!!) And make sure you're sending the tickets to your registered cardholder's address, or that might strawberry float with the security check too. Also, you might want to try going back and re-clicking the "order" link instead of hitting F5 on that page (where you are likely to hit some error messages), because that might initiate a new session on the server (like reshuffle you in the queue). I don't know how it works. I tried both.... I think I did do that (go back and click on the link again when it failed).. so you should probably do that.

This is the Resistance tour, so you'll be hearing the songs from the new album, which is due in September (official Warner projected release window). They've finished recording and are mixing now so they're certainly on schedule.

Muse always mix in about a third or more of the set list from their previous albums, either pick 'n' mix throughout or for their encores (sometimes two encores). If you go on the Friday they might be more likely to play odd b-sides or rarer songs, because they want to make the set different from the previous night. That's what happened at Wembley Arena 2006.
