Not sure I follow - they would still just release all the balls into the street, only the cameras would be better nowadays.

The video Cuttooth shared explains it well.

There are quote a few interesting Tom Scott videos in a series called The Basics, one of his came up in a module in a uni course I was doing about SQL injection and I ended watching loads as they were quite interesting.

I'm really sick of the Just Eat ads with the faux robotic telescript voice. I'm well aware of the cookie cutter way apps and businesses communicate with us thanks, I don't need to be reminded of it every five minutes.

The worst one i've seen is the cringey one with Snoop Dogg.

I'm just sick of that ad. I think I've heard it at least once per day since last June.

I'll confess I thought we were talking about the Snoop Dogg one. I wasn't aware of any others - I don't know this one.

All the UKTV channels are terrible for a) the number of ads and b) repeatedly showing the same ones every ad break.

There's also the issue of channels syncing their ad breaks, so if you try and channel hop during one, you find every other channel is also showing ads.

That was really interesting.

I always wondered why really busy shots looked so much worse when it's all just a collection of pictures, but I didn't really know how compression worked.
