When it comes to Gambling ads, i particularly despise those Sky bingo ones with the stupid voiceover.

Probably depends on proximity to a distribution centre. I imagine the further out you go the more likely you are to end up with a courier in a rented van. Same for Yodel, Hermes etc.

I see a mix of branded and un-branded vans delivering for Amazon around our way, at busier times of the year such as the run up to christmas you also start seeing lots of deliveries just coming from people in their own cars rather than any kind of van.

Never seen anyone wearing an Amazon branded uniform though, just people in their regular clothes but usually with a high-vis jacket over the top.

Amazon adverts are by far the most annoying adverts at the moment, they seem to want to convince you that Amazon is such a great company to work for which makes me believe the complete opposite, “it’s like a family” yet he is doing a job where I presume he works alone all day and is even loading the van on his own,

The confused.com ads have been getting on my nerves the last month or so hearing them constantly on the radio has not helped even that music used has become annoying now, before i did not mind that guitar riff

Ok, awful adverts have finally peaked. I've just seen yet another pithy, slowed down, John Lewis acoustic cover.

For a Viagra advert.

These folky slow cover songs are the worst. Yesterday I saw a car advert featuring a whimsical twee version of Steppenwolf's Born To Be Wild :fp: :fp: :dread:
And while we are at it can we stop the current trend of male singers doing a slurred verse, then a shouty chorus.

Funnily enough I was going to come and complaint about that one the other day, but singing I'm Gonna Be to your flaccid cock is just on a whole other level.

There's currently a Haagen Daz ad with a shitty cover version of Galvanize by the Chemical Brothers that winds me up.

Also similarly annoying is the Magnum ad with a re-worked version of this classic (which itself is a cover :shifty:)

I sometimes run these cover versions through Shazam and it comes back as production music. In other words they're too cheap to pay for the real thing.

That one is annoying. It actually sounds like it's been crossed with one of the Mario Maker tracks to me.

The thing is, ITV use the original version of Go! (Chemical Brothers) in their CITV ads which they obviously pay royalties for, so it can't be just cost saving that makes companies use terrible cover versions and my theory about the Haagen Daz ad is that someone decided that they liked the song but the male vocals (courtesy of Q-Tip) didn't suit an ice-cream ad (marketers seen to think men don't eat ice-cream, chocolate or yoghurt for some inexplicable reason) so swapped it for a version with female vocals to get it in the ad.

Wouldn't it have been easier just to use the Kesha song?

That would have cost too much to license, though, compared to the pocket lint, plastic army man and half a pack of Polos they clearly paid this reprobate. :dread:
