Awful adverts on TV at the moment...

Finally saw the latest Nationwide ad last night.

It was worse than anything i'd imagined.

McCain adverts. Always banging on about some family gooseberry fool, but it's even worse with their latest one about us all being one big family or something. Ugh.

The Nationwide adverts - or any that involve utterly terrible poetry - are also right up there. Beggars belief that people think this is a good idea for an advert.

Any of the insurance adverts or comparison sites - they've always been awful.

I also really hate the Oral B one. Some thick woman going on about not knowing how to keep her mouth healthy, and then when she says "My DENTIST said!" in this really stupid voice...

Haven't seen the one with the old twat going on about making toast for a while, so that's something at least.

Oh god yes, those confused.com ones with the boring geezer (who i recognise from a movie/TV show but have no idea what) out in the desert are particularly awful.

That advert ("but how do you keep your mouth healthy?") is a recurring joke in our household, but Captain Planet is not the punchline.

To be fair they are a toothbrush company not a toothpaste company.

Yes but the annoying factor cancels that out I'm afraid.

The Versus Arthritis ads are pretty bad too - a serious issue yes, so fine, a worthy cause and not for profit etc, but that bloke trying to have sex in his caravan is really off putting.

That cheeky volvic challenge one used to do my head in. How the strawberry float is drinking water a challenge? Worst still was a couple of colleagues actually started doing it. Just having a cheeky volvic! strawberry float off.
