That one adverting men’s underwear with that unfortunate looking man, I don’t want to see that! “Step one, get some”

Yeah, hi, what in the name of Satan's left bollock does this mean

I like to think of an eminent sculptor throwing down his tools in frustration at the masterpiece that is eluding him, before breathing deeply and pausing to meditate in front of a photo of Mr Jivanjee from my childhood dentist surgery.

There was a dreadful slow cover of Major Lazer's Lean On doing the rounds recently too.

using those upbeat songs covers too make it a "meaningful" slow version for car insurance or a supermarket promo is terrible

It should be illegal to alter the lyrics of a song for an advert.

It should also be illegal to write a song with the cynical intention of it being perfect for adverts (ala Moby).

That SHE'S SO LOVERLEEEE SHE'S SO LOVERLEEEEEEE one is a classic example. Make a shitty little chorus with lyrics perfect for an advert.

I don't think he (Moby) intended to make an entire album (Play) of ad songs, it just kind of happened due to the nature of his music.

Later albums however were definitely full of deliberately MOR ad-friendly songs.

Marketing in general has been pissing me off recently. So many shitty products or services, and marketing plebs desperate to tell us how vital and amazing they all are, often in the most annoying way possible.

The Weetabix advert is really annoying. Adding 'abix' onto the end of everything isn't funny, or good, or clever, it's just gooseberry fool.

The Pepsi one with Messi and some others, the music is just an awful noise. Seems to be on constantly as well.

And then that one with Snoop Dogg. I don't even know what it's for as I mute it straight away, but strawberry floating hell. His rapping's always been shite, and even more so when it's about some food or whatever. And he looks like the offspring of a weasel and a toad. Don't need this crap on my TV every few minutes.

At least the adverts about 'being in it together' or 'the new normal' seem to have stopped now. Except the McCain one, with that northern guy going on about being family or something. Ugh.
