Ugh...Idris Elba is annoying enough as it is, let alone when he starts singing at me on the latest advert for whatever shite he's pushing (haven't watched it all the way through, so don't know what it's for) :dread:

Pretty much all of the Christmas adverts are unbearable - all these companies trying to convince us to buy their crap products, with overly sentimental messages and veneers of pretence about how much they care about us. For some reason they always pick the most annoying people to voice or appear in the adverts as well, as if that will do anything but annoy people even more.

If you couldn't tell, I strawberry floating hate this time of year.

*eats anything*

"Hmmmm, so flavourfull. You get the crunch of the lettuce, the softness of the bread, the taste of the sauce, the saltiness of the salt, and that filling is kick ASS!"

I wish I could forge a food travel career out of basically listing the ingredients of whatever I'm eating.

I saw a programme he did where a bunch of people were competing to become a new Food Network host, basically doing the same job as him.

I remember him advising one of the contestants that they should never, ever deal in absolutes when describing the food they're tasting, i.e "This is the best X in the state/country/world" because they'd get so much gooseberry fool from their audience if they disagreed.

That's probably why he avoids saying anything other than "That's money".

David Beckham Fragrances, which has been airing on Amazon Prime Video all this week. These ode to toilet ads are always pretentious drivel anyway, but when I caught it for the first time the other day I thought Beckham was flogging the cameras he’s inexplicably holding throughout.

For me there is no right or wrong. There is only right by you.

Alright David, that explains you shagging Rebecca Loos behind Victoria's back then

I both love and loathe the Lidl christmas ads, I like how they're taking the piss of the typical sentimental shite the likes of John Lewis do every year but by christ, the out of tune, non flowing, too many words per line singing really boils my piss.

The "emotional gravy" bit always makes me laugh though.

He's great in certain roles but does come across as really full of himself at times. Which I can kind of understand from his position but he also does it about his DJ'ing which isn't exactly world class.
