It almost sounds like somebody described the real thing to someone who'd never heard it before and then asked them to do a cover version made entirely from stock samples of brass bands.

Its actually incredible how they've managed to make it sound so ear blisteringly bad (I mean the real thing already makes me want to tear my ears off as it is).

But think what it would be like if they’d stuck to the real theme tune in the game. The same ~20 seconds, endlessly looped. Even if you were a fan it would drive you insane.

I don't watch 'normal' TV but my family are going through Malcolm in the Middle on All4 at the minute and that Halifax ad with Oasis over the top is doing my head in.

Think they're trying to reclaim their title of "banking company with the shittest ads" back from Nationwide.

Couple of current ones where they just keep repeating the same phrase over and over again.

The Vax vacuum cleaner one - "but what does that mean?"

Also, the Sage accounting one - "I'm the boss"

The mouthwash ad with the scottish donkey is starting to grate a bit now.

Oh and same goes for that ad where Richard Ayoade tells everyone that HSBC believes we are part of something bigger, is that why they shut all their branches?

There's numerous things about that ad that wind me up.

The bit where they use it to clean up a full dish of spaghetti in tomato sauce being one of them, at least try to pick up most of it with some kitchen roll before running the vacuum over it you idle dirty bastards.

There's also the other one (with seemingly now obligatory gender fluid person) with everyone repeatedly saying 'perfect' until it no longer sounds like a real word.

I think the first time I saw that I actually shouted "oh come on!" at the screen, but there's no way in hell that you'd run the cleaner like that and it would leave a completely dry, spotless floor. Utter bullshit.

That new air freshener one with the heavy breathing.

Also, the nationwide ads are getting even worse.

Nothing wrong with Lily James, it's just the song i find annoying.

The “Whitby Cobbler on eBay”. The advert is just standard fare, but the bloke must be raking it in with all the promotion he’s not even paying for.

Perhaps i'm just losing patience with everyone and everything, but now i truly hate the postcode lottery ads more than any other.

Oh sod off, the only time that song should ever be used, is on those vids where the cops are bashing down a front door during a drugs bust.
