The twist is that Jawa wrote it (it’s only the first level, but it’s highly detailed and enthusiastic).

I'm closing in on getting 100% on this. Got all the lanced sub-boss versions done this morning (how you're supposed to even know about those without a guide tipping you off I don't know), and I've got the final clock upgrade to grind for, about 20 statues to find, then the dreaded bouts to get through.

I hate Balan's Bout so much. Its just awful. FIFTEEN more of those gooseberry fool things left to do, and that's it counting retrying them.

5 more bouts to go, just five. It's alright , it's fine.

. I have (obvs) only played the opening stages of the game but, yeah, I did get the impression that those Balan Bouts were a touch frustrating - even on the earlier "easy" ones. The timings seemed a little off; to get an "excellent" assessment it felt you almost had to predict ahead and press the button just before the characters lined up.

Gotta respect how much you've played this game, Victor; it feels like you're a real fan! Albeit maybe a love/hate kinda fan.

It's a definite love / dislike thing.

+rock solid performance (context)
+beautiful cut scenes
+mostly interesting levels
+detailed and well modelled characters
+great memorable music
+Nice and different idea for a platformer - helping out people with depression (the old man cleaning up the park and being ignored

)

- Balans bout. What the strawberry float is this gooseberry fool. Clearly a concept for a flying mini game, reduced to a frustrating boring repetitive QTE
-one button controls. Just let every character jump as well as attack.
-changing costumes should be fun, but you can only carry 3, and if you lose it you lose the amount of changes.

All the sodding bouts are done, and all statues are collected :toot:

I now just need the last few costumes and I'm done.

I read somewhere that you have to re-do all the bouts to get the last costume.

I think I would rather kill myself than do those again if that were really the case.
