I definitely found that one very tricky with the lowered hand limit but I can't remember how I got my first win with it now. :fp:

getting that extra hand tag early on helps quite a bit with the black deck

After about 15 hours and countless runs I finally beat the black deck.

To my utter shame I had totally misunderstood how +multipliers differed from Xmultipliers. Once I realised the power of glass cards, steel cards and jokers with X abilities it was a game changer!

Took me a couple of games to realise that too! Tbf it's all "multiplying" so if you're not paying attention it's very easy to miss. Get those X multipliers dragged to the right of the + multipliers!

I think it applies to played cards too, so if you have a glass card or something in a flush you can play that one last

I recall the tutorial mentioning card positions but never knew why you would do it, having now worked out multiplier it makes total sense that you multiply last to get best benefit.

This has consumed my life, up to 35hrs and only 5 wins but still love it.

It’s so RNG dependent but when you get a good draw it’s such a satisfying feeling.

Finally got my first win last night, using a mix of high card, pair, 2-pair & three of a kind, all stacked with Jokers that had a +mult. Then realised I’d struggle to get the 100k I was going to need at the end, until I got the Wheel of Fortune Tarot card (which had never worked at any other time I’d had it) and it put a x1.5 mult on a random Joker!

Dragged that Joker to the right (hadn’t worked that out either until I read it on here) & got the 100k with two hands remaining!

Congrats!! X multipliers really are the key.

Edit and wheel of fortune had only ever worked twice for me In Dozens of tries!

Thanks! I think since reading on here a few days ago about the multipliers, I’ve not had one joker with it come up in the shop. To fluke one through a tarot card, just before the boss of Ante 8 was brilliant.

1/12 chance of that specifically happening too, as the wheel of fortune has 3 potential outcomes (2 of which probably wouldn't have got you the win!)

I think I’ve ended up picking the wheel of fortune 10-15 times in various playthroughs (after opening packs) and every time it had flashed up ‘nope!’ upon opening.

Apart from this one time - so jammy!

i like the use the chequered deck, makes getting a fair few of the unlocks slightly easier when you can concentrate on just playing flushes.

Got my third or fourth win yesterday, this time with the green deck. Every single win I've gotten I've ended up using that joker which retriggers your first played card. It's become my talisman.

Was using a joker which added a X multiplier for each planet card used and one which added X3 if the cards remaining in my hand were nothing but spades and clubs. Won without even trying to.

I’ve now put 50hrs into this and still feel like I don’t know what I’m doing half the time!

Good runs are so reliant on getting synergy early. The number of times I’ve got to shop on first ante and found no jokers

Just completed green stakes. What I don’t like is that so many runs end up being all about flushes. Maybe I need to diversify my strategy

Working my way through the decks, trying to get a win with each before moving on. Up to the black deck now - 6 jokers but one less hand and I'm struggling to get a run off the ground, past the first couple of antes. Loving it though!

Just unlocked the coupon for +1 hand so that should help if I luck upon that!

Got a win on the abandoned deck (no face cards). The hanging chad joker snuck in of course but I played it very similar to my green win with X3 if you only have spades and clubs in your hand. Paired it with blackboard which copies the joker on its right.

Still haven't actually won with the starting red deck.

Got this yesterday, best Ante so far is 6. Very addictive.
