ended up getting this yesterday and loving it so far, only got as far as the 7th Ante, hoping to get to Ante 8 soon.

This sounds absolutely wonderful. I love a deckbuilder so I'll definitely pick it up soon. Just need to get through a few other games first so that I can safely devote some time to really get into this properly.

Won after about an hour on what must have been my third or fourth run in total playing almost entirely pairs thanks to some ridiculous Joker combos.

It’s very reminiscent of Luck Be A Landlord with the need to reach a certain target per round and combine various modifiers to your deck.

The problem I often have with these kinds of games is once I’ve won that first run I’m like a dog who caught a car; I’m rarely that compelled to keep digging into all the things you can unlock. Hopefully some of the higher difficulties you can unlock are interesting enough.

Got to the final boss last night but I couldn’t get anywhere near getting the 300,000 points needed. Had more money than knew what to do with though

Had a quiet hour on the sofa with my Deck so went out on a whim and bought this (the discount had ended though

) but, oh my word, what a fun hour!

Very, very satisfying to rack up points and multipliers. Got as far as ante 5 in the tutorial.

Can see this game being a massive time sink!

It’s an especially good fit for the Deck because it barely sips the battery. Just keep losing hours to it

Got to Ante 12. Small Blind 300 million. How is that even possible. :dread:

Maybe should have kept my money making cards to get more rerolls and stack my deck and modifiers. Had a 12,000 multiplier but not the chips to go with it. Maybe try a run where I go for the 'hidden' hands to see what they are like when ranked up.

I just got to ante 11. I had two pairs up to level 45, and a great combo of jokers.

Midas Mask, all face cards turn into gold cards? Not bad.

Pareidolia? Sure I'll have every card considered a face card and turned gold, why not. 8-)

Sock and Buskin to retrigger every face card? :datass:

Only got the Hiker to run it all with, but the +4 chips is started to add up!

Just need to avoid The Plant blind and I'll be good.

Assuming those buffs are all Joker cards? Sounds like an amazing combination! :msgreen:

My best combo was:

Hologram - Gains x0.25 Mult per playing card added to your deck. (I kept adding as many cards into my deck as possible, and got to x4.5 mult)
Space Joker - 1 in 4 chance to upgrade the level of a played poker hand, before it's scored.
Oops! All 6s - Doubles all probabilities. (This turned space joker to 2 in 4 chance)
Blueprint - Copies ability of Joker to the right (I used this to copy Space Joker in the early game, then moved it to copy Hologram when I needed to get larger scores)
Driver's License - x3 Mult if you have at least 16 enhanced cards (I only got up to 15 enhanced cards so this didn't kick in unfortunately, but would have been awesome!)

i love the space joker card, it's so handy. i cant seem to get any sort of win on the red deck at the moment, for whatever reason i just cant make anything happen. Then i try a different deck and a win comes, back to red deck, nothing.

Came very close to a win earlier. Had around seven Kings in my deck with a Joker that gave me a 1.5x for every King in hand and then another Joker that repeated "in hand" abilities.

It was definitely my most powerful deck so far but I lost against the Ante 7 Boss Blind which had the ability to half my multiplier. The bastard!

I was the same. Finally got a red deck win last night.

Yeah they were, though it was probably the Baseball Card giving a 1.5 multiplier to all Uncommon Jokers that made it blow past the higher antes. I got greedy for more combos and swapped that out for a +4 mult to each face card and was rubbish. :lol:

I haven't had much luck with the Space Joker. Might keep more of an eye out for it if I get the double probability joker.

after several days of frustration, i finally claimed a win with the red deck. hologram joker, space joker and the dna card joker made for a powerful combo.
