All single issues of PLAY, Retro Gamer, PC Gamer, EDGE (or any other magazine) are currently 50% off today only at: www.magazinesdirect.com

Enter CYBER50 at checkout. Delivery can be very slow though, in my experience.

Nice, ordered, bargain way to get a 4K chromecast, and I'm fairly sure the Ultra was the one that came with built in Ethernet as well, wasn't it?

Bought. No idea if I need the Chromecast Ultra as streaming services are built into most of our TVs, but for £20, and with a Stadia controller thrown in, I couldn’t resist.

Plus it’s Xmas soon so I’ll consider it a gift to myself from my family

Our smart TV is old (and requires a wifi/ethernet dongle I can't be bothered to find), but a really good panel, so I've ordered that too. I'll rinse cyberpunk and doom eternal on it on my PC with KB and mouse, as I'm not paying £400 strawberry floating quid for a graphics card. My partner has her own google account so that's 2 months of free stadia and below/similar RRP for a chromecast, and a controller I can probably cash in for what I paid whenever the trial expires.

Using a PS4 every day and recharging its controllers is a total waste of energy as well, just to watch Netflix or play music lol. I'd pay more for the CO2 offsets. :simper:

I've got around 40mbit fibre so it should work well. PS Now was fine on 32mbit and it was through that I discovered Mudrunner :toot:

Was about to jump on that but suddenly remembered it requires that £10 upgrade fee for the PS5 version.

Has the game not performed that well? The speed at which the price has dropped has been the quickest of the year, I think. Maybe Hitman back in February.

Admittedly I haven't played it yet.

I wonder if the limited exclusivity / MS owning the dev has something to do with the speed of the reductions. Saying that, their previous immersive sims are seemingly always on deep sales throughout the year, but I don't think they went this deep this quickly.

Yeah it'll be on gamepass from September next year, so I guess it's just get as many sales til then, eh.

You could put the saving towards the PS5 version / complete version of either of their "offerings" this month...

Edit - the above suggests there may be an upgrade path. Which there isn't. Obviously.
