I'd been waiting for a nice deal to re-sub.

I'd let my PS+ expire and wasn't planning to renew, as the quality of games has been really bad lately, but couldn't resist at that price. Hopefully we'll get a better batch next year.

Apparently there will be a free game every day on Epic Games Store from 16th to the 31st. The first game will be Shenmue 3.

Got that stadia deal for 20 quid. Controller seems good. I'll give the Chromecast to someone else. Cheers for mentioning it.

I did the same... Not sure I'll ever use Stadia, but I do want to get into PC gaming so will likely use the control (wired) for that.

And obvs the Chromecast was a bargain at 20 notes.

I did too.

The stadia stack doesn't support raytracing but not going to upgrade PC to the same extent and the lighting especially is very impressive in those games eg control and hitman. Lag wasn't really an issue even in something like Dirt 5.

I have a 42mb or thereabouts connection and it was fine.

The controller is nice but not sure about the clicky dpad.

Chromecast wanted one anyway and I can request Google nest hub to play stuff on Netflix or YouTube. Saves power because its pointless running a ps4 every day just to stream stuff. The chromecast also turns on and off the TV automatically from standby when asked to play via Google assistant or shutdown, so a pretty neat addition to a smart home setup. Once I've bothered connecteding my av receiver back in again its a very good totally hands free and on demand music solution (via Spotify or YouTube music).

By the way, I didn't know this and already started the one month stadia Pro trial but if you claim 1 month free YouTube music, you then qualify for 2 months free stadia. At the end of that take out the 1 month free so you get 3 months free which is plenty enough time to rinse whatever "free" games are claimable to add to your library.

Speaking of which, there really aren't that many, and some of the pricing is ridiculous to buy a game you'll lose if you ditch the service.

"It should be common sense to just accept the message Nintendo are sending out through their actions."

Just says ‘Save for later’ it won’t let you pre-order one?

They're not showing up at all now. Maybe a mistake or they sold out.
