It runs really beautifully in handheld mode.

Proper burnout (OK it's not 3 but it has other merits) on a handheld in HD.

Amazing

Not tried it yet, but looking forward to it. I played it to death on my ps3. I think I put 25 hours in to the demo alone which had online multiplayer, it was so generous for a demo.

Yeah I have the original on steam but the servers are offline. Some of the online only challenges are pretty cool and actually require you to figure out a game plan with a stranger and no communication.

Big surf island which you get access to at the start (as well as all the silly vehicles which reminds me of something like top gear overdrive in the n64 and the earlier burnout games, the toy cars are great) is basically Tony hawks for burnout.

I've just got switch online so will try some online races again. I think it's a lobby of a certain limit of drivers on the map at the same time?

It's a burnout swansong. Ever since burnout 1 I wanted to be able to just drive around and drift for ever and this game let's you do that. I suppose forza horizons takes after that but I've never played it. There's something a little less dramatic about the crashes (you can't replay them, there's no aftertouch and the camera angles are tighter) but the arcade handling is dead solid. No other driving series has handled weaving and pummelling through traffic so well... and the "oof" moments like when you lose focus for a split section and just "thwonk" into the barrier at a midsection or turn off . That slow mo crunching sound :dread:

Multiplayer on the ps3 was so much fun. Chasing down people, smashing them up and exchanging laughing faces via the ps3 camera. All meeting on the beach taking turns to jump over each other. Getting a cumulative drift distance with 8 people against the clock.

Stardew Valley is now on sale on the Switch eshop for £6.99 right now. First time it’s been on sale since 2019 and the cheapest it has ever been.

You mean to tell me one of my old PCs could have had an extra 1Mhz processing power (Intel supposedly downgraded one of their old cpus from 666 to 665 Mhz as they though religious people wouldn't like the 666)0.

I've been playing it over the last week. It's an excellent port, has a few dynamic resolution issues at high speeds in dense areas, but mostly it looks really sharp and runs at 60fps in handled. Portable burn out :toot:

Okay, this definitely isn't a bargain but - for PS5 prices - it's a good deal:

Spider-Man: Miles Morales Ultimate Edition for PS5 is £49.99 at Amazon. This edition includes a download code for Spider-Man Remastered. Web-only.

Physical Copies of Sayonara Wild Hearts are £9 on PS4 and Switch

https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08CYKPMXY/ ... X95JDR3PWK

I have bought this game 3 times, that's how good it is.

If you have even a passing interest in music inspired games you need this game. Play it in the dark with headphones on

Hey, Fade, I just checked out the trailer and looked at a couple of vids on YouTube... I was really digging the music and the vibe. At nine quid I thought I'd go for it and have ordered a Switch version.

Thanks for the heads-up :D :toot: .
