Now got the email/s. The subject to availability notice is a red flag. Even if they don't cancel they'll be sold out.

Did it say that in your confirmation email? Not sure I had that in mine.

Ah yeah, I do have that but it's on the processing email not the confirmation email.

Fingers crossed anyway.

I've had both a Confirmation and an Acknowledgement e-mail from them.

Both list an estimated delivery date of 22nd September

I've got the same. ETA of 22/9 even though the email also says it's a pre-order for October.

Early delivery date suggest to me some fool spammed the information in for another product perhaps.

This sort of thing appears to happen a lot with Currys, and it's not like they have that many products compared to other retailers. There must be a reason for it somewhere along the chain.

At a guess, id say it's cost price being put in the system instead of RRP.

Ken’s incompetent, but he’s been there 30 years.

Had a "Thanks for your recent purchase" email from Curry's today, when I saw the sender I was expecting the "oh gooseberry fool we strawberry floated up, sorry but we can't sell you Metroid so cheap" email so it was a pleasant surprise!

Sometimes it's better to eat your mistake.

Edit: except unwanted children.

Try telling that to a hamster. In fact, try telling them ANYTHING.

My giant day gecko ate her kids at least twice.

The females also naturally eat their infertile eggs.

Cool fact.

There's definite discounts to be had, but in a lot of cases it's becoming an excuse for outlets in these eBay promotions to increase their prices. Take something like the PS5 DualSense Charging Station. They claim 20% off, but in reality it's around 10% (which is still better than nothing, obviously!).

Everyone should know full well Ghost of Tsushima doesn't retail for £72.85.

Yeah I got that feeling too. At first you feel spoilt for choice, on the other hand, most of these games are close to full RRP anyway and then you're saving 10% on a game I probably won't get around to fully appreciating until it's naturally dropped in value by quite some margin anyway.

Except for switch games that is. I seem to be doing better wit eShop purchases to bulk up my library.

What takes the piss even more is CEX offering no improvement on the £40+ Switch prices for games that have been out for ages.

Maybe the best deals I've got are when Curry do their weird £5 off shipping bringing a £40 title down to £35 (just select free delivery) or so when it's just launched, or about to launch. There's some Switch titles I'd like to play but strawberry floating hell do they stick like glue to the £40 mark. Some games even second hand CEX want around £45 for, Pokemon etc. Takes the piss.

If you can find anything in stock, Argos are running a 3 points for every £1 spent Nectar points promotion until the 12th October in store and online.
