Because Nintendo games are like investments, they drop in value in real terms including inflation but stay just about valuable enough for you to justify hoarding them, and nobody really knows why.

That's very true, and probably one of the major reasons games like paper Mario and zelda twilight princess and twin snakes are still high in demand; there are physically less copies doing the rounds. I remember in the gaming news twilight princess was only getting something ridiculous on GameCube like 5000 copies. I remember going out on day one just looking around for it and found a few copies at virgin Megastores I think it was, lucky thing I did buy it there and then as otherwise I might never have had a copy. It was also released after the WIi version which I bought despite not having a Wii yet and then traded it in at pretty much cost price.

I really wish I'd kept games like Twin Snakes and Metroid Prime Trilogy instead of giving them away. I would've loved that £100 right now.

It remains plan Z which is in my business plan, literally sell off all my games to get out of any bad debts
Thankfully that has not happened and it is just there because it was a requirement in my programme to have a backup plan if it all went to gooseberry fool

I preordered TP (Gamecube version) from GAME and for some bizarre reason they sent me two copies and only charged me for one of them. I sold the 2nd copy a few months later for £80.
Still have the copy I played but reckon I'd easily get £80 for it again as it's pretty much pristine.
Also have Twin Snakes, Paper Mario TTYD and a couple of others in equally good condition.

What would the HD twilight princess Wii u box with amiibo go for? Considering I paid £25 brand new from Smyth's toys.
Pretty sure I have it on GameCube aswell.
