The Gamecollection have Divinity Original Sin 2 on the bone for under 12 quid.

And only £13.95 on PS4! That's the cheapest I've seen it anywhere, retail or digital. Given the critical acclaim it got, I really do want to try it. Unfortunately I just don't get on very well with CRPGs (tried so many of 'em and gave up v quickly on the lot of 'em) and so even at that price I'd be taking a risk. Will pass on it. Hopefully it ends up on PSNow, EGS, Twitch, etc.

Great game and great price. I completed it on PC when it was first released, so I'm looking forward to playing through the definitive edition with all the improvements that will have been made since. £11 for such a great game is a bargain!

I actually bought it before the offer kicked in. Ah well, it only about 2 quid dearer. Never played a CRPG before, so I'll give it a go.

Deadly Premonition Origins is £12.49 on the eshop. I played the waiting game and i won. Hopefully by the time i have played through it again (1st play through was on PS3) the sequel will be patched. I don't expect a locked 60 / 30, but by all accounts it (DP2) crashes semi regularly, and that's one of the few technical imperfections i cant handle.

Argos currently have deadly premonition 2 for £34.99 if you dont fancy waiting on the royal mail delivering it

This is accurate. Genuinely one of my favourite games ever, but technically it’s.... not great.

3rd person horror / mystery with a world that has a full night / day cycle and characters going about their daily life’s according to in game time. Have you played Alan Wake? It has that feel to it, but not nearly as technically competent. But far less linear (sub stories a bit like Yakuza).

If you like the surreal and weird then it’s probably going to go down well with you, but if you want a more polished title it’s not the one for you. I first played it knowing very little about it other than it was a bit like Twin Peaks, and it blew my mind. Filled with glitches, jank and broken / non essential mechanics. Best protagonist ever in my opinion. Amazing game. YMMV.

It's the whistle song. That's the reason I love that game. And the fact that the story truly gives no strawberry floats at all.

It's like one drunk person described Twin Peaks to another equally drunk person whose knowledge of game development got as far as the first few years of the PS2, who went ahead and made a game based on what they remember being told the next day. One of those games that really is more than the sum of its parts. Also stick it on easy, the difficulty only affects the combat which is pretty garbage anyway and is filler between doing weird stuff. Dark Souls this isn't.

Yeah, I stuck it on easy just to blaze the shooting bits. They aren't great, and they get pretty repetitive, but the story is worth the hassle.

Would I still enjoy Deadly Premonition if I already know who the killer is?

Probably, if you're willing to just go along for the ride. It's so completely weird that it's worth it, in the same way I've rewatched Twin Peaks at least once just for the surreal experience of it.

The MPG when driving a car, not so good

Forgot about that, I got stuck as I ran out of fuel, had to walk the whole way back to the mission objective

Far Cry 3 on Xbox One is £2.50 odds on the store.

Far Cry 3 is also £2 something on PS4 store which is dam good.

Not Tonight (post Brexit game in the style of Papers, Please) is 1.95 on the eshop until late August. I picked it up as i really "enjoyed" Papers, and this is bound to be equally "fun"....
