I was expecting five pages of bargains. All I got was printing off Game's page for 'Nights' and taking it to PC world so they can price match it and knock a bit extra off. I'm not sad enough to do that.

Eye of Judgement for PS3 for £29.00. It doesn't state anywhere that it includes the camera but I don't think there was ever a solus pack. Also pre-discount price is stated at £69.99. Only thing that sticks in the craw is the £4.95 delivery charge (as it is hardware). Still at least £6 cheaper than anywhere else. Plus 4% quidco. Is new, not pre-owned.

The "partially used" bit in title on the thread on GR was rubbish - when i saw it i thought it was just for second hand games. But this thread is for new games at bargain prices.

Here's my suggestion can we keep the first post updated with the most up to date Game discount code please? It would be very useful. Unfortunately i dont know the current one  , anyone help me out please? Cheers

Crud, I read that as £5 off and got all excited. :( (Yes £2 does make that much difference to me!)

TBH, I think people who make comments like this are A) ignorant (they are legitimately unaware of the Monkey Island reference) and B) cheeky. I spent two years of my life maintaining that thread and helping people to find their games cheaper (sadly was unable to do so more recently). When you've spent that length of time helping people out, maybe you'll think differently before making crude comments.

It is also a very old subject and is completely derailing the thread. Alpha eX has kindly started a thread for discussions on the name/future of the bargain thread.

I thank you for setting up and maintaining the original thread.
I think you are too easily offended if you get upset because people don't get your (geeky) reference.

Well, TBH, I don't think in this case that I am being too easily offended. I'm just telling you guys that I find it insulting - I don't expect an apology or any further comment on the issue; I'm just asking people to be respectful.

Thanks for your thanks, dude.

For some reason that reminded me of something that could come in useful for people. 2 years ago Gameplay sent me a loyalty code (others probably had them). The codes were renewed every 6 months and gave a 5% discount. Around 2 years ago they never renewed the code, but I found it still worked. I've just checked it again and it's still active. I don't use Gameplay anymore, so hopefully others will get some use of this.

5% off Gameplay discount code (there was no minimum spend as far as I know) -
