I dont think i'll wait up for Goat. I wont be around tomorrow because i'll be out all day, so good luck for tomorrow. In probability we wont kill a pirate today, but there must be at least one or three amongst those at the bottom of the activity table.

I'd like to echo this. I was really getting into it and, after worrying that I'd be shite at it, was actually really starting to get the hang of it.

Goat, you should definitely try running this again in the next few months.

I agree. He can do it In February and I'll have a go at easter.

I too have enjoyed it. I could really see a tactic where the humans could put themselves into a very stong winning position if the special roles stay smart and play thier part. I think there were a fair few bad decisions by a couple of humans and special roles that played straight into the hands of the pirates, rather than a problem with the game or the way it's been run.

What's the difference between a Spy and a Detective, anyway?

I think it'd lose it's appeal if ran too often. Not that I want to inflate DML's ego or anything, but nobody runs it quite as well, or anywhere near as well as he does.

I'd prefer it if it was just left to him to run it twice yearly.

You can't exactly hide being a zombie can you?

Managed it in Zombie Flesh Eaters 3...

Nah. Vampires make much more sense. They're very intelligent. Vigilante can be Van Helsing.

But we have to run the gamut of mythical creatures! I've got zombies, elves, space marines and cats lined up for various different games!

I asked for one at the beginning. If you haven't posted for 24 hours you're eliminated.

Gotta have more lee-way than that, there are many reasons someone could be away from a computer for that period of time. Maybe something along the lines of having to average at least 1 post a day. Or at least 2 posts in a 48 hour period (to make sure the posting is regular, not just someone spamming for a day).

Spy was the classic seer. Detective was a role Goat invented and didn't explain well.

Yeah, would've helped if Goat had given us a list of special roles and what they did.

Re: The Special Roles.

Now, I've never had the pleasure of being anything other than Human/Civilian, but it seems to me that some who get these get too excited for their, and indeed our, good.

I also find the first two days tiring, what with all the baseless accusations and whatnot, which is why I try to stay away for the first few days. I rarely succeed, but that's a different matter.

Spy could find out a characters role.

Each special role had to choose where to use the ability (top deck, middle deck, lower deck etc.)

The detective each night could chose a location. Anyone using a special ability in that location would be revealed.

The detective could not locate pirates, but could unite the special humans. It would have been a huge advantage had he not been killed on the first night :fp:

Yeah, I would have been quite active for this game anyway.

Maybe it's just because it's a holiday but I'll check and see what's happening when the next game starts, if I don't think i'll be around much I wont play, don't worry. I have the feeling I wouldn't be around sometimes but be very active otherwise, would that cut it?

When Pirates kill they also choose a destination to do so, so the Detective would (in theory) find Pirates and other people with abilities. Sadly DML was killed before he could do any investigating. I thought it was a pretty cool role myself.

MCN and Clarkman have had an extended stay in the brig today, but now it's time to let one go. And kill the other. The person with the most votes and therefore will walk the plank is...

... Clarkman, he was...

... a Civilian.

I dont mind how long the christmas break is, imo the pirates have this won.

Sorry Clarkman but the reason you were lynched was due to your inactivity.

There are 2 possible things the civilians could do now;

I would suggest that unless something comes to light we perhaps still work through the inactives - put MCN back in along with another. The Pirates have been able to allow the special roles to make mistakes, and theyre in a winning position now - So the other tactic i might be bold to suggest is that we hasten death process and start lynching actives.

I planned this out quite far last night when I couldn't sleep.
Here are some ideas: Inactive cull
Team balancing
"Chance cards"
If vigilante tries killing anyone protected by a WD they die.
3 seers to start off.
Civillians potentially being promoted to new roles.
