Battlefield 2042 (XB/PS/PC) - No more content updates & Motive Studio making a BF game.

Open Beta between October 6-9, 2021. Early access is available on October 6-7, 2021 for all players who pre-order the game or are current EA Play members.

Pre-load begins on October 5 (at 07:00 UTC on all platforms), but not everyone will be able to access the Open Beta at the same time. Early access is available October 6–7 (start playing at 07:00 UTC all platforms on 10/06) for anyone who has pre-ordered Battlefield 2042 or is an EA Play member. General access begins on October 8 (at 07:00 UTC on all platforms), at which point anyone can join the fight.

Do you have to sign up for the beta or will it just become available on Origin/EA Play? I'm a basic-tier member.

Should just appear on Tuesday for preload on Origin, same as all the others. You might need to go to the store page though.

Cheers! Got a ten hour trial of FIFA that I need to give a go but I'll install this as well. If I like both and get decent performance (slightly under minimum specs for this) I might plunge for the premium membership as it basically costs the same as two games :shifty:

About 18GB. Beta starts at 8am on 6th or 8th depending on your access.

Beta starts now.

It does look really nice, so nice I can't see anyone in the strawberry floating bushes. :lol:

Some of the UI looks huge on screen like the sector control stuff, gonna see if I can shrink it.

There are bugs but nothing like the BF3 and BF4 betas.

Can't get in on PS5, servers appear to be down.

My mate also pre-ordered with Amazon and they didn't send a beta code. They told him it gets sent when the item ships......

Got it downloaded. Will have a go later.

It's an issue with the verification servers but they are getting new ones up pretty quickly.

I am finding it pretty easy to get in to games on PC, maybe a 5 minute wait to get in.

Liking what I am playing so far.
