Haven't played a competitive shooter for years and dear God am I bad. Biggest gripe with this is that all the specialists look the same ne no matter what team you're on, what is that about?

I've deleted the beta and I think it is not very good. Disappointed.

Call of Duty Vanguard was better but I won't buy both this year.

Wait for the proper Modern Warfare 2.

Been playing BF4 since the Beta ended. And you know what, BF2042 has a long way to go.

It took BF4 a few months of patching to get it to play the way it does now. Then the almighty balancing patches that seemed to change the meta at the drop of a hat.

I am looking forward to the full release as well as messing about with portal.

So long as they dont patch out the funny plane I will be happy.

The MV condor is just stupid fun to fly with a squad.

At the start of BF4 the mobile AA was so overpowered it was just silly. Once you'd unlocked the auto homing missiles shooting down helicopters was almost a sure thing. There were some maps where you could sit in spawn and pretty much kill them as soon as they got airborne.

Some of the hyperbole out there regarding how bad this beta was (an in turn how much the full game is going to suck) is quite funny. Some genuine rage.

I watched a clip where someone jumped from a platform on to the back of one and then dropped a load of C5.

the level of rage of people still playing BF4 is really funny.

I think I accept it will be a good game in the end but I am not sure if I want to drop the cash on it when it comes out or later. The amount of talk about it catering to e-sports and eventually going Free-to-play is a little worrying.

I thought the beta was fine.
Yes, it could do with some changes but nothing impossible and once I got used to the slightly different style I was doing a lot better even after just a few games.
One thing I do hope changes is the activation range of the med and ammo boxes as they seem tiny and it didn't seem to matter where I put them people just didn't use them. Also the med gun needs some kind of autoaim (this could well just be me being really gooseberry fool) as needing pinpoint accuracy just to heal people especially when they seem to feel the need to move about like crazy people rather hard.

I'm sure both issues will be fixed or I'll just switch to using the throwable pouches instead so not a huge problem.

I hope they have a test island so I can practice flying as getting into a chopper with me as pilot was at best completely suicidal.

Yeah I agree having the specalists makes things very different, as you can't guarentee that the engineer has the AT or AA launcher anymore as litterally anyone can have one.

I also think that there is a new generation of plkkayer that doesn't understand battlefield games as, no one in the Beta was reviving others.

That mechanism's even in warzone though.

My main problem with it is that I just found it dull, with no reason to return.

One of the issues I had was constantly picking up other players gear when trying to revive, bloody nightmare. Playing as Falck was okay as I was just shooting the ground healing people like there was no tomorrow. Falck and McKay were the way to play the beta.

The hit detection was pretty bad and its very slow if youre used to warzone. The gunplay is nowhere nearas polished either.
Ill buy it but certainly not at launch. Maybe after christmas.
Theres nothing there to dissuade me from the new Cod MP especially with the new warzone map launching too.
It was fun though.

That trailer seems to be 1m48 in length. The rumour is it's similar to Tarkov.

Datamined stuff from the Beta about Hazard Zone & new specialists -

True, but in warzone there is a direct incentive to revive (only your squad mates) as then your get further along in the round to potential victory.

In BF2042, no one was reviving at all - which just makes your team lose quicker as it stops momentum and bleads tickets.

I agree though, the beta was quite dull and the only enjoyment I got out of it was through making my own fun. In contrast, playing BF4 again with a full squad has been the best fun I have had in a Multiplayer game in quite some time.

I feel a lot of that is down to understanding the roles of the squad in an easy way. (no specialists only - destinct classes)

or maybe it was becuase there were more optons as we had everything unlocked in BF4... I dunno

but yeah BF2042 was missing something.

I can see a lot of portal games with BF4/3 classes on the BF2042 maps starting to appear soon after launch if the recognition issue isn't sorted quickly.

As a long time Battlefield stan, I didn't enjoy the beta at all, I admittedly didn't play it long but it feels 'off' somehow. I can't put my finger on it, maybe the movement is borked? I'm stunned that of the 3 big First Person MP games this year, somehow, 343 (of all devs) have easily the most impressive offering.
