It's just a really weird bug. You go into quick match and select say Wake Island, Rush. It loads Tour Of Omar and then hangs on a black screen. Had a little play about with my port forwarding settings and atleast for now I can use the server browser to chose a game whereas I couldn't before.

After 24 hours of play finally see the Damavand peak Peak parachute jump :wub:

Wuji needs to capture the 360 crew doing that jump

I hope that I have sorted my problem out now. *crosses fingers*

In other news I seem to be a bit better than I thought I was.

I have had the black screen a couple of times with the new maps. Also seems quite tough getting into a wake island map (360).

Also the epic base jump is only in Rush, but you knew that right.

I think it's because I'm finding myself playing Rush a lot more and every time I have been on that level, my team either loses or we beat the other team before the jump happens. When it does though, wow!

Played for 3 hours straight and no crashing. seems the thing actually worked.

I am liking the QBZ-95B, quite a beefy little thing, a lot like the PDW.

Pretty cool. Here's hoping they do one with more people

Finally managed to finish download Karkand last night and managed to play this again today. :mrgreen:

Yay

Disabled an enemy jet earlier and saw it spiral into another enemies attack chopper. 8-)

An eagle-eyed gamer has spotted what looks like a hint that EA plans to launch a Battlefield 2142 sequel.
An Easter Egg on Battlefield 3 map Wake Island, which comes with the Back to Karkand expansion, shows the number 2143 scrawled on a wall.

As BF3blog points out, DICE has a habit of dropping hints at future games into existing ones. In 2006 it included Easter Eggs in Battlefield 2: Euro Forces and Armoured Fury map packs that hinted at a new game called 2142. That game, a PC exclusive, launched the same year the Easter Eggs emerged.

2142, which launched after Battlefield 2, was a science-fiction multiplayer-focused first-person shooter developed by DICE and published by EA. It was set in the 22nd century during a new ice age. Military superpowers the European Union and Pan Asian Coalition go at it.

I know there has been talk of a sequel but personally I would love to see what they did with the Vietnam DLC in the form of it's own offshoot mode in BF3

I'd quite like a sequel to 2142, I was glad to see the series step out of gritty modern man-shooting into something a bit more...imaginative. I thought the giant flying fortresses were a great idea, I'd love to see that return.

Dude 2142 is by far the best Battlefield I've played. I like it more than Battlefield 3. The game modes, the maps, the weapons, they're all ace. It's literally an evolution of BF2 without any contardation.

It's a lot more fair and balanced as well, without the ridiculous rock, paper, shotgun, with 64 player approach that is BF3, where rock overpowers everything including paper.

According to a server I played a lot on I have been hacking and subsequently I have been banned. I must have killed the admin too many times.

I've never really played BF3 much online (not much of an MP gamer), but I've put a couple of hours into it now and quite like it. Can anyone give me some noob friendly/older gamer server recommendations?

Depends what you are looking for. I do like to play on spartan gaming or the fyreuk servers (look in my fav list on battlelog), both are conquest large and decent maps.

You might want to look at SUPER@ as well.

Famas in the game is stupidily good

It is so top of the nerfing tree I think. I will see how far i can get before that happens.
