Played the alpha on PC and it was pretty solid other than a Direct x bug that i kept getting.

There seems to be another BF1 squads stream at gamescom tonight.

Not a strawberry floating chance would I pay £40 for a season pass.

I'm curious to play the singleplayer for this but I can wait a year or so until it's under a tenner.

Surprised at peoples reactions, this is exactly the same as BF3, BF4, and I guess Battlefront. Managed to pick it up for £20 fairly quickly on BF3 & 4, so hopefully this will be similar (or cheaper)

I got more than my moneys worth on B4 one to be honest, thats why im in.

BF4 was 5 map packs...or was it 6? The definition of 'value' here is purely subjective. Seems alright if you're going to play it a lot.

It was 5 packs with 4 maps a peice, this is 4 less but still.

It has 1 map pack?

no 4 less maps, 16 mp maps compared to B4's 20 (5x4maps)

Beta is out on Tuesday for Battlefield Insiders & Wednesday for everybody else. 6GB on XB1, no pre-load.

How do you know if you're an insider or not?

EDIT: Never mind, seems I may be one already.

Shouldn't the beta be up today for people who registered ?

Who's getting this as I loved BF4 and I love being a medic or engineer.

The games and season pass didn't cost £104.98 on PC, iirc they were at most £70. Ultimate is the only one with the season pass and has to be bought on Origin on PC and you can't purchase the season pass separately anywhere at this moment (but is likely to change).

I will be giving it a miss and shockingly the cost is not the main reason (although it is a close second). I do like the idea of WW1 era however I like modern weaponry and the WW1 era weapons do nothing for me.

I also think this is an attempt for them to avoid being asked to get the G3A3 in the game again
