I think you should watch them - they set up tone/setting well. The Resistance Webisodes really help 3x01's impact for me.

They do sort of spoil the "new" status quo - but there's only been 1 spoilerish thing so far and it's not very big.

It's set after 4x10 I think, in the break, but it's a little while after they find Earth - it's meant to be before the episode on this week though

Gives some hints as to what 4.5 will be about - What's Gaeta gonna do?

This is the TV event of the decade for me. It ranks alongside the end of Babylon 5, Star Trek TNG, and when all the best characters left ER for anticipation levels.
