Blood and Chrome makes up for the actual shite that was Caprica. Didn't get on with Caprica at all.

I wish Blood and Chrome was a full on series  It could have been great. Like Firefly great.

EDIT: And I need to add these. Wander My Friends 4:40 onwards. :datass:

‘Battlestar Galactica’ Reboot From Sam Esmail Headed For NBCU’s Peacock Streaming Service

The new NBCUniversal streaming service that the company said Tuesday would be called Peacock will launch in April 2020 with original content that includes series reboots from the NBCU library among its fare. That list includes the return of a sci-fi classic: a new Battlestar Galactica, billed as an original series from Mr. Robot and Homecoming executive producer Sam Esmail.

Not much is known about the premise, but we hear Esmail is a huge fan of BG and told NBCU brass it was high on a list of titles he wanted to tackle under the mega new four-year overall deal he closed at NBCU’s Universal Content Productions earlier this year.

We hear Esmail had been in touch with Moore, who blessed the idea of him taking on the franchise, because of Esmail’s passion for Moore’s version of the show.

Not sure about this. Loved the RDM version, even if it did get a bit "hmmm" towards the end.

I'm sure it'll be great but I can't say I was on the edge of my seat wanting a new version of it.

I know I'm in the minority here but I always wanted to know what happened to the freed raiders after the end and the humans and Cylons settling Earth.
Given all the gooseberry fool they were put through and being actual cannon fodder it would be interesting to see what sort of civilisation they ended up creating.

That's a shame, the end of the last one was so strawberry floating awful it nearly ruined the rest of the series retroactively.

When Battlestar Galactica 1980 is better than your big budget finale then you've seriously strawberry floated up.

I really don't get the hate of the ending of BG.

It's not perfect by any means, but it really isn't as bad as people say it is.

My main gripes were the disposal of technology and that there was no Tigh/Adama goodbye. The latter was the worst. Those guys went through hell with each other.

I liked the dancing robot.

It was kinda gooseberry fool. It's been done to death so often that it's the sci-fi equivalent of finding out it was all a dream

Well yeah it's been done before (the original did a similar thing) and I am not saying it was perfect, but the level of hate it gets is weird.

The original didn't really have a proper ending, but what it did have was nothing like the remake.
In the original they found an inhabited 1980s Earth with a human population descended from the 13th Colony that had forgotten its origins. Their intention was to start increasing the rate of technological advancement on Earth so that the fleet could then make itself known and integrate into their society.

That's basically the opposite of what happened in the remake ending where technology was abandoned altogether and they just settled down as practically cavemen.

The 80's version sounds a lot better imo.

IIRC, the ending also caused a lot of holes. Like prominent music used during the show being from modern times.

I think it used ‘All Along the Watchtower’ a lot, which doesn’t really work if they’re the start of human life on Earth.
