I read the first half last night (I turned the light off at 4am), and it is possibly one of the most disturbing books I've ever read. It is too damned plausible.

Love all this apocalyptic end-of-the-world stuff

I was reading Wikipedia yesterday about a comedy hero of mine Tony Hancock, which linked me to info about a proposed BBC broadcast (including some of his material) which, in the event of a nuclear attack would be transmitted to reassure the public.

Funny thing was the debate over the music to start the broadcast with -
National Anthem - too solemn
Stayin' Alive - too frivolous :mrgreen:
