This is my main worry about the game. At least I got the Game Pass code for free so it's no big loss if I don't get on with it.

I thought that from the initial trailer.

I get that making the playable character tiny is intended to convey the scale of the environments but I think they overdid it somewhat.

This is all very secretive. No reviews, seemingly no impressions. Has anyone played this yet?

There was apparently a delay with the review code and it wasn't sent out till last night/today. I've played a few hours so far, it's alright but strawberry float knows how this took them 6+ years to make.

Polygon have early impressions up https://www.polygon.com/2018/12/14/1814 ... box-one-pc

I like how you can open shortcuts for your eventual successor to use. Excellent idea.

Having downloaded and played this with no idea, really, of what it was I can now cheerfully and certainly say that this is not for me.

In fact, to be honest, I think it's crap.

Still, hope you lot enjoy it!

I called off his players' names as they came marching up the steps behind him....All nice guys. They'll finish last. Nice guys. Finish last.

EXPLORE Mode features these changes to BELOW’s core rules:

Reduced Survival Mechanics: No Hunger or Thirst.
Traps, Damage & Death: No instant kills + All damage depletes player Health slowly through bleeding, giving players a chance to recover.
Permanent Bonfire Checkpoints: Checkpoints can always be returned to after death, allowing players to continue progressing deeper into the underworld.

BELOW's original SURVIVE Mode exists in its pure, untouched form for player's excited to test their mettle against BELOW’s original challenge.

| (•_•)| S: This is the best date I've been on since my last date. PB: This is not a date.
S: Neither was the last one. It was a robbery. M: Really? S: Yeah. She stole my heart. And my crown. (❍ᴥ❍ʋ)

Shame it’s not coming Switch, did many people here play this?

Played it around launch and it was really disappointing, didn't feel like something that took 5+ to make. The survival stuff was too harsh to the point where it made exploration pointless since you'd just die. Shame it took them so long to fix it.

It does seem like it’s a bit too late to try and save this, guess it coming to PS4 might give it a second chance

Looks like the sort of game that gets released on the Switch every week, is it super demanding on hardware or something?
